#10 CHR, #28 Hot 100. File alongside S Club 7 under 'Total surprise one-off Euro pop hit'
You probably all hate it, but I think it's pretty perfect pop. It's hilarious how similar the followup is though. "My heart beats like a drum (Dum dum dum dum dum)". They basically replace the 'las' with 'dums'

Oh, and shockingly, this song never took off in the UK. It got re-released about 3 times but the highest it got was #15.
Massively massively massive in Germany though.

I really liked this song... peaked at #13 on my chart, and was my #45 song of 2001.

Great cheesy euro pop song. It did pretty well in Australia. I liked the video, it was really colourful.
The follow up was like an inferior carbon copy.

I remember the first time I heard it in late 2000. It was pretty good but was sadly overplayed.

Great song! It reminds me of 2001 pop radio.

I remember hearing this song 3 times in one morning once. I commented on this fact in front of some co-workers, and one of them continued to sing the song in my presence for weeks afterward!

was #1 on my personal chart for 3 weeks and actually was a challenger for the #1 song of the year (which they eventually lost to Lifehouse)

I do too. It wasn't too overplayed on the stations I listened to. I was looking through my charts of 2001 and, even though it was mainly dominated by Christian music, there was a lot of dance/pop on it, such as this song, as well as "One More Time" by Daft Punk. I can't think of any others, but there were some. Of course, one reason I still like this song is that it takes me back to the spring of 2001 and you all know the story about that!

The first time I heard this song was on my 23rd b'day and all I could think was "WTF??" But after that I really grew to like it and am still fond of it to this day.

This was infectious! And you would think it'd be annoying since the verse and the chorus are the same melody.

Thank you. I didn't have to ask. I heard it for the first time on Z100's Top 9 at 9 and figured out what it was because I had seen it in the R&R Top 30 so I heard it late. Before All Access Cool New Music, I had to rely on the radio more and I never heard "Last Beautiful Girl" while it was out for example.

This euro-dance tune is completely disposable, but the melodies and sounds in the song are damn near first rate, and that's really all that matters at the end of the day.

Loved it (and still do). I love the European feel.
It has that timeless pop feel to it. Reminds me of "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", most likely because of the lalas.

It was OK it first but I never need to hear it again. I remember that all the members were from different countries.

I kinda liked this song. I felt it was too similar to the Eiffel 65/Rollergirl stuff that was popular at the time.
I must have really liked it because I actually bought the 12" single.

To this day I could listen to this song over and over. I love it. Massively popular especially in Germany and Italy, it was #7 on my 2001 year end chart. Reminds me of the spring of that year.
It was a huge hit in the NYC area:
Z100 Top 100 of 2001: #19 WKTU Top 103 of 2001: #18
Z100 is playing it this weekend because of their One-Hit Wonders special.

I liked this song because it wasn't at all repetitive. Actually I remember looking forward to hearing this song when I went out. It's a good dance tune.

This was the best when it came out! Lala-lalala. Nice tune there.
