I pulled out some Motown classics today and I found this record.
"I'm just a love machine and I won't work for nobody but you."
Kinda funky; I like it. I just hope it's not used in any more pointless commercials.

Love Machine was #1 on the pop chart for #1 week in 1976 and was the groups last top 40 pop hit

the most interesting thing about this hitting #1 was that the group had originally featured Smokey Robinson as their lead singer. Tears Of Clown was their other #1 song when Smokey was with the group. after he left in the early 70's he had some hit throughout the 70's and 80's and never got any higher than #2 which happened in the early 80's. The Miracles only had one other hit besides this without Smokey.
