This is my favorite Paula song. Its a beautiful ballad and the lyrics are so real. She uses her vocals really well on this song. Its also a rare step for an artist to release a ballad as the lead single form their sophomore album after a hugely successful 1st album, but it worked for Paula. Come to think of it, i dont think it has ever worked for anyone else???

Celine Dion? ;)
Anyway, GREAT song. She was a pretty poor singer, but she worked this one.

I like the song but the vocals are so bad I can't listen to it anymore, it's laughable.

Gorgeous amazing song, and it still sounds good all this time later. I can't say enough good things about it!
Paula is one of those artists (like Janet) who can carry a ballad without having the greatest vocal talent in the world. It's called singing with EMOTION and FEELING - something that a lot of other female singers can't seem to do even if they have the pipes.

One of Paula's worst songs ever. Thank God Bryan Adams came along with "Everything I Do..." and slaughtered her for top song of 1991!

Not one of my favorites by Paula.
I seem to recall Keanu Reeves appearing in the video, but I could be way off base.

I seem to recall Keanu Reeves appearing in the video, but I could be way off base. The video's beginning has a scene that looks like Keanu.

Not one of my favorites by Paula. I loved this song. But it wasn't my favorite by her either. My favorites from Paula were "The Way That You Love Me," and "Knocked Out."

Love this song. I remember when it hit #1 in 1991 and turning the radio station and hearing it on every single station I passed.

I love it. She doesn't exactly have the best vocals but the desperation in her voice for this fit the vibe of the song very well. Great tender ballad coming from Paula.

Not one of my favorites by Paula. I seem to recall Keanu Reeves appearing in the video, but I could be way off base. not my favorite single from her either... the video was an obvious "rebel without a cause" (starred james dean) knock-off. LOL. and yeah... it WAS keanu reaves. he even wore a replica of the exact same outfit mr. dean wore in the movie, red jacket and all. ;)

I remember hearing this on "Open House Party" at the end of 1991 and John G said that many people had requested that song as "Push Push".

Good song, but not among Paula's best.
