I always blast this one in the car. I think it was released...35 years ago? Wow, it doesn't feel that long.

Uhhhh... isn't this song, like, 100 years old? or like 400 LOL! Actually it's somewhere in between. Beethoven wrote during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and I think this piece dates from right around 1800, which would make it a little over 200 years old. And yes, it was a big hit at the time. This is one of few classical pieces I liked as a kid, but I grew sick of it when it was used for several years in a disposable douche commercial.

Doesn't matter how old it is, it's timeless. I remember when I was young and I had to learn this song for my piano recital. I didn't practice (if only I had been able to appreciate my lessons) and two weeks before the recital I had to change to "Jocularity" something I already knew how to play. Saved me, but it also gave me a strange fondness for this song.
Beethoven was amazing.

Beethovens genius was astounding. This is brilliant. Supposedly composed in 1810.

if my cousin is to be trusted, this song is pretty much the equivalent of selling out in the 1800s
