I'm a big fan of this one. Such a good song. Such fun, too.

I was just listening to a clip of this on iTunes last week, and thinking of buying it (still might). Good song!

It's quite a different sound for the Kinks compared to some of their '60s music. Their songs in the '60s were considered pretty heavy-duty rock 'n roll for that time. Nearly 20 years later, "Come Dancing" was more light-hearted.
Guess it's true that many rockers mellow with age.

They've always been a pretty versatile group. "Waterloo Sunset" comes to mind. But, yeah, they definitely hit on a lot of different styles throughout their career, but, in my opinion, they're one of few artists who pulled them all off well.

I was thinking about their songs like "You Really Got Me" - pretty heavy for that time.
But I guess that was around the time when the British invasion was taking shape in America. Even the Beatles were considered to be hard-rock in their early days.

Didn't know of it until i heard it on old episodes of AT40 w/Casey Kasem. Don't like this very much and prefer some of their other hits like "You Got Me Goin'" and "Lola". music video www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRUE0aAI5o8
