I love this song! Especially the extended version.
This was the first CD single I ever bought (the second one was "Mama Said Knock You Out" by LL Cool J).

Probably the ultimate '90s dance classic.

That would probably be my least favorite of the four, since it was so repetitive, as well as bland. My favorite song by them would be "Here We Go (Let's Rock & Roll)". My second and third favorites would be "Gonna Make You Sweat" and "Things That Make You Go Hmmm....", respectively.

I wasn't a fan of "Just A Touch Of Love" either... I'd rank it below "Do You Wanna Get Funky," their minor hit from a few years later.

I guess I don't remember that song. The only other song by C&C that I can remember was actually by Clavilles & Cole, their remake of U2's "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" I didn't like that song either.

This was one of my favorite songs of the early 90's. I went on a cruise in 1992 and Martha Wash was one of the performers. She was NOT happy about that whole skinny model mouthing her song thing. Just by coincidence, she replaced herself at #1 as she was the lead singer for Black Box (also uncredited). Gonna borrow prenatt's idea and list the top ten at the time. I really like seeing and comparing what other people liked back in the day....well, back in my day February 10, 1991 01 02 Gonna Make You Sweat - C&C Music Factory 02 01 I Don't Know Anybody Else - Black Box 03 04 Someday - Mariah Carey 04 06 Rescue Me - Madonna 05 05 I Like You - Culture Beat 06 07 Love So Special - Ceybil Jeffries 07 08 I'll Give All My Love To You - Keith Sweat 08 09 This House - Tracie Spencer 09 12 Disappear - INXS 10 03 High Enough - Damn Yankees GMYS spent 3 weeks at #1 and was #34 for 1991. If I add in the points it accumulated in 1990, it would've been the #3 song of 1991...timing is everything

I like it.
I even heard it on an AC station--WJDX-FM (Mix 96)--back in '94.

The female vocal hook by Martha Wash was amazing! For the longest time, I thought she was singing "Everybody, pants down!" The video seemed to go with the song, so that's what I thought it was. It was not.

I keep this cassette single right next to my stereo so I can pop it in every once in awhile. Still love the entire Gonna Make You Sweat album, especially "Just A Touch Of Love" (always reminds me of Sister Act. lol), "Live Happy" and the bonus track that just was named "?" Saw them on the Club MTV tour. Fun stuff.
Peace, Ben

I just realized that by changing one letter the song could have an entirely different meaning. How about "Gonna Make You Swear"
