Classic! #10 Hot 100, #13 CHR/Pop, #60 R&B... The debut of madame Gloria to her english crowd with a spanglish song

It's a decent song. There's plenty more that I prefer from her though.

Good song. I can't listen to it several times in a row, though.

It's okay. It's a song I heard before I followed music.

It's kinda fun in a retro way but it's so tacky like everything she does!

Great song... first time I saw the video, I thought the name of the group was Ambassador ('cause there's a big sign that has that name on it).

I've played this 5-6 times in the last week alone, strangely enough. Actually it's because I finally got a hold of the extended version remix, which is great! I used to have the 12" single for this (actually I still have it, but no turntable!) and played it over and over again. I'm still not sick of it either. The funny thing is seeing Gloria's picture with the band on the record - she was just a little bit pudgy back then! (in a sorta cute way). This song is a classic and has some of the best percussion I've ever heard in a popular song.

I've always hated this song.
The rapid-fire lyrics of the chorus get under my skin more than anything else.

LOL at how very 80s the music video is: initial boredom is followed by uncontrollable excitement by the song's end. Ref: "Sussudio," Phil Collins.

Grab a pair of bongos and get a conga line going at a party with "Do the Conga" . Can't beat it! Pun intended? Anyway, I never really liked this song. I liked their follow-ups, though ("Bad Boy", "Words Get In The Way", and "The Uh-Oh Song"). My favorite MSM song would probably be what turned out to be their lowest peak, "Betcha Say That". Had that song been released ten years before, it probably would have gotten higher than 30. It sounded rather out of place for CHR/Pop radio in 1987.

Casey played this on AT10 when the theme was "songs about dances."

I don't really like Latin music, but they had a few singles including this one that were good. My favourite from her is "Doctor Pressure" mash-up by Mylo.

I really liked "Conga" when it came out in late '85, but by the spring of '86 it became way too overplayed.
It had one of the slowest climbs to the top 10 for that time period. I guess it took a while for everyone to catch on.

This is one of those songs that could have easily made Gloria a one-hit wonder, but thankfully she managed to get out of that and has had a very successful career.
