I'm going to be surprised if anybody remembers this one. It was a novelty record that was originally released as a 12-inch single in late 1986. For that time it was hilarious - an impersonation of then-president Reagan. It sampled 2 other songs: "In the Bush" and "Sussudio". For a novelty tune, it was very well produced. If you heard it nowadays, it'd be difficult to classify it as "rap". It was more of a comedy routine set to a break-dance beat. I loved it! Became one of my favorite songs of '87.

This was sort of in the vein of Billy Crystal's "You Look Marvelous" and Mel Brooks's "Hitler Rap" I would say. Ah, the 80s! What happened to songs like that?

I had this 12-inch single (it actually got some airplay in North Florida), but made the mistake of lending it to a coworker in '89. I never saw it again. :(
I'm the big Gipper and I'm here to say, That I'm the baddest rapper in the U.S.A.!

I remember this song, too. I taped a good song off of Zip 104 (South Bend) and left the recorder going. This song was played a few songs afterwards and I still have a recording of it. It's pretty good, compared to the rap songs today.

Well,
W-W-W-W-Wellll.
I have the 12-inch single, but nowhere on it does it mention who was the actual voice doing the Reagan impersonation. I heard once that it was a DJ from Florida, but not sure of his name. I'd really like to find out.

Whitburn says that it was Mark Moseley (who was apparently at WPOW, if Wikipedia is to be trusted) but I can't find anything else that confirms this.

Yeah, I couldn't find much about this song either. Probably too old or too obscure for any worthwhile info.
When I was an indpendent DJ years ago, I played this song a couple of times. Of course, this was post-1986; so I had to edit the part of the song that mentioned "Tip O - Tip O'Neil". He was no longer House speaker shortly after the song was released.
