Now who remembers this little gem? I have always loved this song. It's a nice blend of disco and 80's new wave in this track from 1979.

I hate it. It's so annoying.

Don't know the original (I'm about to download it!!!), but Skye Sweetnam did a fun little cover of this song. I like the cover.

Good song, but prefer Rapture and The Tide Is High.

parallel lines is a pretty cool album. i like x-offender from an earlier album, and for later blondie, i love atomic. great guitar riff in that song.

and for later blondie, i love atomic. great guitar riff in that song. Me too! That is one of the best parts of the song, as well as Debbie's vocals. There is a remix of "Atomic" from the mid 90's by Diddy (not P. Diddy). It's a semi-trancey/house mix. The guitar riffs as well as the vocals were left alone on the track.

A true classic... one of the few songs I really liked before I got into music in 1982/83... I have like 3 different versions of it... pop edit, normal version and a dance remix... I probably listen to this song today more than any other song from the 70's...

Some radio stations refused to play this because she said "ass" in the song. I've heard stations play this where that line is edited out.

I actually think this has one of the most impressive productions of the 1970's: intricate, icy and hypnotic. A truly brilliant song.

A classic. Love her vocal approach to this and the production is deceptively intricate. So many moving parts, but the whole thing sounds so effortless and cool.
Incredibly malleable song as well, there have been quite a few remixes done throughout the 80's, 90's, 2000's, etc. And most of them work because the song is just timeless.
