This was Cherrelle's highest peaking R&B hit, peaking even higher than her pair of #2 peaking duets with Alexander O'Neal. It's also my favorite solo song by Cherrelle. It's got a really great vibe. It's honestly depressing to listen to her work and know that she wasn't bigger. Here's the All Music Guide review which sums everything up perfectly.

I like her follow-up single "Affair", I guess at the time it was waaaay to slow for me. I like the lyrics though.

Cherrelle was very underrated as an artist. She had some really good songs like this.

Should of charted way higher, one of her best songs easily.

Love this cut, the follow up single "Affair" always sounded like a tossed off copy of "Control" though......

Nice cut. I have more of a soft spot for her uptempos, but this is solid.

Should of charted way higher, one of her best songs easily. WORD! I absolutely love this song. The way the line "everything I miss at home" is repeated throughout makes it so addictive, too, when it could run the risk of being annoyingly repetitive.

I loved this. I have the cassette single at home. I have the 45! Fortunately, the radio station I was interning at played EVERYTHING, whether it was crossing over or not; so I got exposed to songs like this that I might have otherwise missed.
