Their biggest hit ever, making #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 1 week... Good but I think they've had better

The song was number one on R&R for four weeks and was one of the five biggest songs of that year. The strange thing is, I don't ever remember hearing it on the radio. Yes, I know I was only five that year, but still, if a song was played that much, you think I'd remember. Then again, songs I remembered back then were songs that stuck in my head. "Dreams" was never really anything really special to me, so maybe that's why. My favorite song off the Rumors LP was "You Make Lovin' Fun", which hit the Top Ten at the end of 1977. My favorite song ever released by them was "Sara", their number one song from early 1980.

It was a good song. One of their best.

i'm not into them that much, but do love this song despite overplay status. I always like how the crash symbol hit on the 2nd note in the measure, rather than the 1st as is normally the case.
And I hate Corrs version but those sisters are fine fine fine!

pretty good song, and despite it's enormous success, it was amazingly not their longest lasting single ("Hold Me" lasted 15 weeks, to "Dreams" 13)

What I remember most about this song was going for years having no clue what the title was. I knew it was Fleetwood Mac, and yet even looking at their list of pop hits I couldn't put it together for the longest time.

Kind of typical Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac of that era; a solid song. I heard it more than any other song that year. I like several other of their songs better, most written by Stevie: The Chain; Gold Dust Woman; Oh, Daddy; Sarah; Sisters of the Moon; Angel; Straight Back; Rhiannon; I'm So Afraid.

A common song title. I also like "Dreams" by the Cranberries (even though it's overplayed) and "Dreams" by Gabrielle.

Their only #1 hit. Classic! Not according to R&R, "Don't Stop" was also a number one!

When I was first taking an interest in pop music, I would hear this song all the time and never knew what it was called. At the same time, I knew there existed a song called "Dreams" but had no idea what it sounded like!

Beautiful song, amazing in general. Yeah, if there's one chart-topper they'd deserve it'd be this one. I haven't honestly heard any covers yet.

The original is great. I liked the revisit Stevie Nicks did with Deep Dish in 2005. It was very tasteful.

Pretty surprised to read that this is their only #1 song. It's another great one. The chorus is layered with beautiful harmonies.

The Deep Dish remix of this came on random shuffle the other day, and I can't believe how long ago that was already!?!?!?! Ugh.
