I LOVE IT! The #1 song on my 1997 year-end chart. This is a catchy song from start to finish and that's a rareity. It's like rock, pop and dance combined together. I'll say DITTO to that!

I've always loved this. It's just an A+ pop track, and ditto the Roxette comparisons.
In retrospect now that I'm older, Savage Garden in general had a late 80s vibe and seemed like they should have been bigger 10 years prior to when they were.
Their only other single to match this in quality for me was To The Moon And Back. I still don't like Truly Madly Deeply to this day.

My favorite song when it was out. I was 10 and this sort of pop song was right up my alley.

The irony of this getting bumped on my birthday though. It's pure pop perfection (hence my username - it's not just a fun name, it's because this is my favorite song) and to this day remains my favorite song of all time. It made me a Savage Garden fan way back in 1997 (has it really been that long?).
How did I seriously go a year on here and not find this? I thought I'd resurrected every SG thread in Nostalgia and here I left my all time favorite untouched. Flop Stan.

Great song! Hit #1 on my personal chart in '97.

Good song but not one of my favorites by them. I don't think there's a single bad song on either of their albums.

This song is great! I can never get over the chorus because it's so catchy. I think they've done a lot better but this is still amazing.

Sirius 90s plays this A LOT but I'm not complaining I'm here to share the good news.

Easily my favorite song from them. Despite coming out in 1997, this has a more of an late 80s/early 90s synthpop sound making it stand out more from the more guitar-driven pop-rock songs of the period. Heard this song a lot on B96 and the AC/Hot AC stations like 101.9 The Mix also played it.
