Yes and I only saw the video once on Muchmusic a long long time ago. This is her only US top 40 hit ever. I like her others such as "Weak In The Presence Of Beauty' and her worldwide smash "Is It Love".

I like this song... never heard the remix, though.
My favorite by her was when she was a member of Yaz, the song "Situation".

"Invisible" reach #31 on Hot 100 in 1985 something Alison couldn't do as part of the duo Yaz or as they were called in the UK Yazoo

The only US hit for this UK soul/Pop singer, who was a huge star in the late 80's and early 90's in the UK. Interestingly this was a bit of a flop for ehr in the UK. following huge top ten hits with 'Love Resurrection' and 'Is This Love?' this only made #21 here.
It's a great song, really shows off her killer vocals. Her singles collection is a must-have.

She is a great vocalist, I was a fan of this song when it was released here, but it was a carryover from being a big Yazoo (Yaz in the US) fan when they were a cult item here. I saw them perform at the Ritz, a rock danceclub in New York, in the early 80s and couldn't believe what she looked like!
They introduced me to pre-recorded, or sequenced music, since at the time, all the concerts I had been to were rock acts. The musician, I can't remember whether it was Daniel Miller, or whoever the keyboardist was, had a one octave keyboard and playing one note produced the whole melody. I felt cheated, because their keyboard parts are tricky to play live and I was hoping to see it done.

Well, I heard that song on Muchmusic TV's "Soft & Romanitc" while I was living in the UK. This song is indeed unforgettable. Technically, this is not her only hit. During the same year (1985), she recorded "Honey For The Bees" for the "Alf" which also generated her hit song that we are talking about. Well, Patti Austin recorded the song later that year making the top 20 on the Urban charts. Unfortunately Patti's version is hard to find but you certainly find Alison's version (on Napster). Why do I say it's another Moyet hit, well because she actually wrote the song.

I remember both versions of "...Bees." I preferred Patti's version. Moyet had a couple of great songs on her followup album "Raindancing," especially "Weak In The Presence Of Beauty."

Listening to this again today. The sheer emotion in her voice is remarkable.

I love it. She has a fantastic, soulful voice. My favorite Alison Moyet single is "All Cried Out" though. This would probably be second. This was actually written by the legendary Lamont Dozier. It peaked at #31 in the US in the spring of 1985.

This is my favourite single of Alison's. I love songs that sound happy but have sad lyrics.
