#17 Hot 100 (in the 17th week on the chart! And he guess what else he was only 17 years old, if you didn't know)
#27 R&R CHR
1986
BTW Hot 100 sales peak was #9. I love this song, and I gave it a ton of spins last year and it made my year-end chart. I do not remember it from my favourite year partly due to me being out of the country during that time. However I do remembering it falling from it's peak on AT40 it was the only time I heard it until last year.

Yeah, definitely a bigger sales hit than airplay... only peaked at #30 on Hot 100 Airplay. Very bizarre to have such a huge difference in sales and airplay for this type of song. Maybe radio programmers were offended by the first half of his last name. I don't think I ever heard the song until a few years ago when I started collecting old AT40 shows. It's actually pretty good.

So I'm not the only one who remembers this song.

So I'm not the only one who remembers this song. I play this every once in a while... cool tune... I was actually looking for another song in a search and stumbled upon this one... and since that one had no thread, well I get to create one!!!

I found it weird that it was peaking at #17 in its 17th week on the chart. In fact, since that was its third week at that position, that meant 17's in every number column (this week, last week, 2 weeks ago, and weeks on chart)
I never heard this song on the radio outside of countdown shows. It only spent a month on the R&R chart, peaking at #32. I was surprised to see that the song got so high on the Billboard chart. I was thinking that it could possibly be on the AT40 Top 100 of 1986, especially after hearing "Object Of My Desire" by Starpoint on the survey, and that song only peaked at around #24. However, it did not make it, but it didn't really matter much, since it was not one of my favorite songs.
