One of the best & most influential one-hit wonders of all time.
A lot of decent covers have been made. I'd like to hear a cover of this make Top 40 (along with a cover of the Zombies' "Time of the Season"). It's only a matter of time before there is a mainstream 60's revival.

96 Tears is definitely a 1960's classic.

Great tune! Probably the song that first introduced the mainstream public to what would become punk. The organ riffs are completely hypnotic. Took forever for the original recording to finally get a CD release here in the states.
You really need to post more in this forum, oscillations.

I'm a fan of the entire period that came to be known as the Nuggets era. (Ironically, ?&TM are not included on the official compilation!)

Anyone who likes this should listen to The Creation, The Seeds, The Sonics, and The Monks. :)

Gotta bump this 15 years later. Criminally underrated 60’s classic.
