Ok, this song's a classic. It's also the most cheesy, silly fluff I've ever heard too. If it comes on the radio, I'll totally listen to it, sing along, etc...the catchy factor is through the roof.
But seriously, imagine if like, Frank the greased up suspenders-and-flannel wearing car mechanic had this blasting in the garage, changing spark plugs with his son Timmy and telling him about cars and manly stuff. I would probably never be able to stop laughing.

The two remixes of the songs are hot! I find the LP version a bit bland. The Heart In Motion Mix and The No Getting Over You Mix are the two mixes I own. Anyway it's too bad that the song she directed it to (partly, her then - husband) are no more. I think that her fifteen year-old daughter appreciates this classic more than anyone does! Thanks for the topic, I am now listening to the Heart In Motion remix as we speak!

I actually love this entire album. Amy is so wholesome, I just love it.
This track is great. How many weeks did this spend at #1 on the Hot 100? 3?

I consider this song in a class with Martina McBride's "I Love You" ... gooey and cliché, but at the same time ridiculously sunny and upbeat and I think it's impossible not to absolutely love it.

I love this song!
And I think it's so sweet that it's about her daughter.

I liked it. I didn't know Amy Grant was a Christian artist then. Well I was young.

^^ She'd been a mainstay at contemporary Christiane for a few years by the time "Baby Baby" came out. Let it also be known that this is not Amy's first #1 hit either. She hit #1 on a duet with Peter Cetera, "Next Time I Fall In Love" in 1987.

Such a cute, but good song lol. Not gonna even front, the whole Heart In Motion album is really solid even if it's "dated". "How Can We See That Far" should of been a single... honestly one of the best Amy Grant songs ever in my books. The lyrics always kill me sometimes, just love it.

I couldnt stand Amy Grant until this song came out. Probably because my sister would wear out her "The Collection" and "Lead Me On" LP's. Loved all 5 singles but thought they should've taken a risk and put out Ask Me as a 6th single. Gailleo would've made a great 7th one too but I suppose A&M probably felt they couln't get another major hit out of the set once "I Will Remember You" stopped at #20. I remember Billboard running a piece on artists remixing their singles and not stripping them onto the albums and citing Amy for having put out different mixes for all her singles, confusing customers who looked for her in the dance department.

Love it. The three uptempo hits from this album are all great pop songs.

I love driving down Sunset Blvd blasting this with the windows down, I get lots of looks.
Heart in Motion was arguably the last real "80's" album. (I know it came out in 1991 but the production style is one hundred percent 80's)

This is cute, but I've never really loved it.
Wasn't this the Amy Grant song the original video of which had to be pulled because of subliminal lesbian undertones? lol

This song gives me so much life! It literally makes me feel good inside. I grew up on her music. It has that South Florida/tropical feel to it. Definitely one of my all time faves from my childhood.
