This was the first single off of her extremely successful country album "Did I Shave My Legs For This..."
Despite the hilarious title of her album, it's a great song and one of my favorites.

It's alright, kind of boring, but alright.

One of my favorite songs of all-time... although I do have a lot. I just love the simplicity and pureness of it.
Deana never has done anything else as special as this since.

Great song off a great album. This was the b-side to the original first single (I've Loved Enough To Know, which was never re-released) and a PD heard it and liked it better and played it instead. The rest is history. Too bad she hasn't even come close to that album since.

A great song from a former great artist!! This song is soo simple but speaks loudly. I think a lot of young women connected with this. And Did I Shave is a great album. Deana-what happened?! :(

I remember how funny it sounded when you sped it up.

I still listen to 'We Danced Anyway'. Back in 1997, when my sister got her album, I was a fan of about half of the album. The rest I didn't get in to since I only listened to the singles pretty much, lol. Deana was one of the few country artists I liked back then.

Love it. That debut album was awesome. Too bad it was a fluke, nothing else she ever did was as good as it.

Love this song too. I love some Country songs, some mild rock, a few pop , mainly R&B and soul . This one I think of summer and young love.... Oh to be young again !!!!

Probably one of the biggest country songs of the 1990s. Even though she's not (and I prefer both of her other #1 songs to this one, actually) Deana even feels like a bit of a one hit wonder, the way this song has just overshadowed everything else that she did. I really loved her Did I Shave My Legs For This album. It's too bad that nothing else she did was anywhere near as good, in my opinion.

This is a perfect song and record. The lyrics are pure poetry, and the production and vocal captures the feelings perfectly.
