Written by Ellie Greenwich/Jeff Barry/Phil Spector, this song went to #2 for the Ronnettes in 1963. Probably the perfect example of Phil Spector's wall of sound. (How can you not love this beat?) One of my all-time favorites, and was introduced to a younger generation through the movie "Dirty Dancing." What do y'all think?

OK, but I like "Take Me Home Tonight" a lot better.

I like it, definitely one of my favorite girl-group songs from that era.

"Be My Baby" might just be my favorite girl-group song of all time. The work Phil Spector did in the 60s is some of my favorite music ever. Just phenomenal pop music. "Be My Baby" is often ranked high on lists of the best songs of all time, has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and has been added to the United States National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress. Darlene Love and Sonny and Cher sang back-up on the song.

This beat has been recycled a million times - but it started here. To hear this song in stereo is true bliss. Brilliantly produced by Phil and essayed by the sexy Ronnie.

OK, but I like "Take Me Home Tonight" a lot better. i definitely have to disagree with that. <3 we need a Motown revival! Maybe Gwen can usher such a trend in ;) this song has nothing to do with Motown.
