Paula came back in the 90's with a new album with a fresh sound... here was one of the singles "My Love Is For Real" another was "Crazy Cool" (Just searched for it on Kazaa, and someone has the video! :o)
I remember I used to sing into my desk fan and I would sound like Paula in "MLIFR"!
Good job!

This is one of the best songs from the 90's... HOT HOT HOT. It's insanely addictive and it totally captures my attention from start to finish. I think it's a masterpiece actually... very underrated. The intro is electrfying and when the beat kicks in it just explodes into greatness. Paula sound amazing on it - very seductive and sexy yet dark... the vocals fit perfectly with the song.
I can't listen to it just once, I have to listen to it several times in a row before I can listen to any songs on the rest of that album!

I don't like it. This and "Crazy Cool" are my least favorite Paula singles.

I was so disappointed when I heard this the first time. It just lacks a solid hook and is not good enough to be your comeback single after a four year break.

I was so disappointed when I heard this the first time. It just lacks a solid hook and is not good enough to be your comeback single after a four year break. hence the failed comeback ;-P and then the SMASHING RETURN w/ American Idol, making Paula "America's Sweetheart"-- rush to your local stores soon for the REAL comeback! Lmfao. Naw, I like Paula though.

This is superb. Ofra Haza's vocals are just mesmerising.

This reminds me of when I was visiting family in Phoenix over the summer of '95 and it was 115° out. I remember hearing this a lot of Power 92, which was transitioning from CHR/Pop to CHR/Rhythmic. They still played "I'll Be There For You" by the Rembrantds, which really stood out.

I just listened to it for the first time and I thought it was horrible. Maybe it's a grower.

I was impressed by how well it did. However, if it came out now, despite her new-found fame with American Idol, it would flop.

I liked it. I was actually surprised it didn't do a bit better. Was not a fan of Crazy Cool at all though.

It's ok but not the kind of song that I was looking for from Paula. This had a middle eastern sort of vibe to it so it was a different sound for her but the Paula Abdul that I loved was the one that made classic dance-pop hits in the 80s.

this came on my ipod today. i forgot how much i loved this song. didn't ofra haza die soon after this came out? anyways, i remember seeing the video quite a bit when this song came out. should've been a bigger hit than it was. this might've been her best single ever.

didn't ofra haza die soon after this came out? Ofra Haza died about 5 years after. I have recently become obsessed with her music. "Im Nin'Alu" and "Love Song" are just so addictive. I wish she had gotten more acclaim and attention in the U.S.

I didn't care too much for this when it was released. But I gave it a spin yesterday while listening to her greatest hits and, damn, it's so hot!

This is good, maybe really good. Ofra Haza really brings a lot to this as well.

The instrumental always sounded like a slowed-down version of Janet's "If".

The instrumental always sounded like a slowed-down version of Janet's "If". Yeah, I hear that. Also, Paula using a lower register sort of gives it away.
