The duet reached #2 on the Hot 100 in early 1980 and Teri never had another top 40 hit on her own or in a duet.

I much, much prefer the original by Barbara Mason. She was also the writer of the song. It peaked at #2 R&B and #5 on the Hot 100 in 1965.

This is probably the cheesiest song that I love. This or "Just When I Needed You Most" the classic 1979 song from Randy VanWarmer. Pure cheesy delight
