A Moment Like This debuted #1 on the Hot 100 in 2002 and was recently a chart-topper for Leona Lewis who won the X-factor late last year Nope, it jumped from #52 to #1 on the Hot 100 breaking the longevity record which was previously held by The Beatles. Of course though, the record is now held by another Kelly song - "My Life Would Suck Without You". I like this but it's one of my least favorite singles from her.

I've always loved this song, even if it isn't one of her best singles. Brings back memories of her days on Idol. :'(

Kinda sappy as over the top power ballads were becoming rare on Top 40 radio in the 2000s compared to the 1980s and 1990s. That said, it's not too horrible. The quality of Kelly Clarkson's pop songs have improved greatly since then. since then ("Since U Been Gone", "Stronger", "Miss Independent", etc.) On a side note, I watched "American Idol" alot back in the early/mid 2000s, usually to watch the bad singers get chewed out by the always blunt Simon Cowell. Paula Abdul was the opposite as she was always so sugarly nice and Randy Jackson fell in between Simon and Paula. I still remember several of the winners and runner-ups from the show's early years: Kelly herself, Justin Guarini (why do I still remember his name though I can't spell his last name without using a search engine), Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson (she should had won that season she was in), and so on. I don't remember anyone from the latter Fox seasons and the ABC revival.
