"Learn to Fly" is a really memorable song for some reason. I don't necessarily think it's their best single, but it's still a great tune nonetheless(Their best song is "Everlong," by the way). I find myself tossing it on the old iPod it pretty often. I liked the song because it seemed so much more polished than a lot of their previous songs. I also thought it was pretty good lyrically. It was the lead single from their excellent album There Is Nothing Left to Lose in 1999. The song is probably best remembered for that cheesy but awesome airplane video where Dave Grohl and the others dress up as a bunch of different characters. It's hilarious, even though it kind of undermines the great lyrics of the song! Anyway, here are the stats: Hot 100: #19 US Modern Rock: #1(1 week) US Mainstream Rock: #2 UK: #21 Australia: #35

Oh I have this song, believe it or not. I added this on my playlist on a few years ago after I heard a couple of their singles in 2003 that were bangin. I especially liked my personal chart number one "Times Like These" and their #3 (personal chart hit) "All My Life". As a result of hearing these two singles I decided to buy the CD.

This is one of those rock songs I could listen to over and over again and not get tired of.

This is not only one of my all-time favorite songs but also one of my all-time favorite music videos, especially the scenes where Dave Grohl was in pigtails and looked all girly.

Marginal. I like Tom Petty's "Learning To Fly" much better.

Another great song by them. They put out very consistently good singles up til 2014. I haven't liked much from them since "These Days" though "The Sky is A Neighborhood" was decent. They were on fire in the late 90's though. This video was hilarious. I remember it only got to #9 on VH1's weekly chart and was only for 5 weeks but then was their #9 video of the year.

One of my favorites by them. So catchy.
The video is a classic. It was on MTV and VH1 constantly back then.

The 1st song that came to mind after hearing the tragic news of Taylor's passing. This always inspired me to reach for the stars, and to work hard to achieve my goals.
We will miss you Taylor Hawkins. you are now flying high with the angels in heaven.
