As a general rule, I don't like Montell Jordan, Master P or Silkk The Shocker... So, it's pretty ironic that THIS IS MY JAM!!! Still gets me pretty hype all these years later.
Half slow jam, half club banger... Man, this is a good song.

Anyway this was cut, I even bought the single on vinyl w/o hearing it because of all the hype way before it hit stores officially.

Eh, I think he ruined me with his early songs like "This Is How We Do It" & "Something For The Honeyz." I've always thought his music was a little too cheesy... Plus, for some reason, I just don't like the tone of his voice; it grates on me.

I liked this song at the time it was out. But thinking back on it, it was pretty gimmicky - pretty much just an excuse for Montell to sing a bunch of No Limit catchphrases.
Now, "Get It On Tonight" is my JAM!

I've been listening to this a lot lately. I didn't discover this until early last decade. It's one of the many songs that bit Timbaland's style at the time. lol. Montell jumped on the No Limit bandwagon recruiting Master P and Silkk and using their catchphrases. Speaking of Silkk, he is rapping offbeat as always. lol.
I believe 112's "Anywhere" was inspired by this.
I love it.

This is decent but I prefer "This is How We Do It", "I Like", and "Let's Get It On Tonite". This song was played on B96 and WGCI when I was younger. music video www.youtube.com/watch?v=foRtLErKNe4

Montell Jordan has proved that he wasnβt going to be another one hit wonder. IMO his subsequent hits are overlooked because everyone is still listening to This Is How We Do It.
