Remade by FatBoy Slim with Bootsy Collins back in October I think....Still such a great song. I play it a ton.
Anyone else like it?

I fucking HATE this song. One of the most annoying of ALL TIME.
Really, really, really, truly horrible, in every sense. AND it kept "Groove Is In The Heart" by Dee-Lite off the UK #1 spot.
Did I mention I HATE it?

AND it kept "Groove Is In The Heart" by Dee-Lite off the UK #1 spot. What the hell is up with old songs getting re-released in the UK all the time? I like it. Some people call me Maurice, 'cause I speak of the pompatus of love...

Shaggy's "Angel" sampled the music.
I love the scene in That 70's Show when they're all sitting around the table in Eric's basement, stoned out of their minds, and singing this song.

The Joker was the first new #1 song of 1974 and the first ever top 40 pop hit ever for Steve Miller

47 years ago today..."The Joker" became the Steve Miller Band's first No.1 record as it reached the top of the Hot 100 for a single week. 17 years after its release, "The Joker" reached No.1 in the U.K. for 2 weeks after being used on a TV advertisement for Levi's. "The Joker" by the Steve Miller Band was the first single from their eighth album of the same name. The song is famous for its wolf whistle played on Steve's slide guitar. It remains one of my all-time favourite records.
