This earned Sarah McLachlan her biggest hit in the UK hitting #3 in 2000 with a remixed version of their original song "Silence". Great song... Sarah can basically make anything sound good

Amazing song. One of my all-time favorites. The DJ Tiesto remix is flawless.

I really liked this one... I preferred the album version over the remixes.

I didn't like this song very much, maybe just because I'm not a big fan of techno.

I didn't like this song very much, maybe just because I'm not a big fan of techno. I like the Airscape Edit, but the original non-techno version with the monks chanting is so much better than any techno remix of this song. Look for it, or if you want I'll send it to you... I guarantee you'll think it's so much better.

I like this song. It made the year-end Top 60 on AT20 (Hot AC) even though it never made the regular Top 20 weekly chart.

I like the Airscape edit. Have never heard the original mix.

I liked how it was used in the "Breakdown Palace" commercials! Good movie too.

One of my favorite songs ever. By far their most popular stuff. VAST reminds me of them (partly due to the awesome chants), prolly why I liked them. Sarah's guest vocal is one of the best I've heard from her.
Funny thing is that I've only heard the original one with the monks chanting.

This was just as good as anything from the Building A Mystery album. The composition, the chants, the vocals...everything works to perfection here.

The original mix from Delerium's Karma is incredibly beautiful and haunting. This sounds similar to some of Enigma's earlier work.
DJ Tiesto's 2000 remix of the song is an epic track as well.

I've been listening to this song in my car a lot lately. I have it taped off of the Top 60 songs of 2001.

Recently voted the #1 trance track of all time, this song from this Canadian electronic/trance/ambient group continues to have a life of its own after being released in late 1999, and reaching #3 in the UK in 2000 and recharting in the UK top 40 as "Silence 2004". This even got some Hot AC airplay in 2000 as well.
This song is so beautiful and gorgeous with perhaps Sarah McLachlan's most emotional vocals yet:
Definitely a classic.

The regular version is twice as long and (arguably) twice as good as that trance remix.

I absolutely love this one!
I somehow missed out on this during the initial 1997 release. I finally heard this in 2000 when the new Tiesto and Airscape remixes were released. Tiesto's version of this was nearly 12 minutes long. It was a dark, moody, yet uplifting remix. It matched Sarah's vocals beautifully. Airscape's mix was nice too, but it didn't capture that emotional aspect that Tiesto's did. I sort of liked the 2004 mix by Above & Beyond and the new one from a year or two ago, but none matched the 2000 ones.
Tiesto's mix (the one in the video above is the Airscape one)
I love the original album version as well. It sounds like something you would find on an Enigma album released during the 90's.

Airscape remix is my favorite while Tiesto's remix comes a close second.

Tiesto remix is one of the songs that got me into trance and is probably my favorite remix of it.

Tiesto's remix is absolute fire. One of the best remixes I've ever heard. He still drops it in his sets.

Casey played this on the Top 60 Hot AC songs of 2001, yet it had never hit the Top 20.I think he mentioned that it never charted but spent so much time bubbling under.
