I do not have the chart history on this song nor I have my Top 40 Hits book in front of me. (I left it at home). But this is the first of their many hits which is headed by Ray Parker, Jr. I used to have the 45 of the song but was misplaced and later shattered two yeaars later.

I am not much of a fan of the whole style that this song is, however I do like this particular song.

I really liked this song. Long time since I've heard it. I generally liked Ray Parker Jr, but I think this may be my favorite.

What happened, did someone sit on it or something? I think the song is pretty cool. It peaked at number six on the R&R chart in the early spring of 1978, but it earned enough points to be ranked in the Top 40 of that year (so it was one of the songs I kept tabs on when I did my version of the charts for that year). And since I liked it a lot, it was in the Top 20. A radio DJ who played this song for a daily '70s music radio show called it "The PG-13 version of the classic nursery rhyme".

What happened, did someone sit on it or something?ย LOL... I had a couple of my old 45s break while they were in storage ("Whip It" by Devo and "Medley" by Stars On 45), fortunately I have both those songs on CD now anyway. Oh, and I really like "Jack & Jill". :)

Wow! I hadn't thought about this song in years!. It was one of my favorites from the day. My chart back then (1977-1982) only consisted of songs that I owned and this was one of them. If I was willing to actually spend my few pennies on a record, i really liked it. Therefore, records debuted really high sometimes and really late if i didn't have money or couldn't get to a record store. That time for me was great for music, I still really like alot of the songs that were around at the time. March 11, 1978 01 01 Themes from "Close Encounters" - Meco ** 02 Supernature - Cerrone ** 03 Jack and Jill - Raydio ** 04 Let's All Chant - Michael Zager Band 03 05 Night Fever - BeeGees 02 06 Emotion - Samantha Sang ** 07 Our Love - Natalie Cole 04 08 I Love You - Donna Summer ** 09 Flashlight 05 10 If I Can't Have You - Yvonne Elliman Apparently, this was a shopping week for me "Jack and Jill" peaked at #3 and was #38 for 1978.

LOL... I had a couple of my old 45s break while they were in storage ("Whip It" by Devo... I used to be a devotee, so that 45 had a decent non LP B-side called "Turn Around" which I don't think is on any LP, unless it's been released on a repackaged CD.

I dug "Jack And Jill" much, wish I still had my old charts to confirm its chart position, most likely between 7-9.

I like it. It's nice and decent to listen to. "You Can't Change That" still remains my fave from them.
