This was a hard rock band from the first half of the 90s. Their first hit was the uptempo rock hit "Don't Treat Me Bad" and was followed up with power ballads, with their most successful hit being "Love Of A Lifetime". They had a couple of more hits afterwards: "When I Look Into Your Eyes" in 1992 and "I Live My Life For You" in 1995.
I'm not sure what happened to Firehouse since then (breakup?), but their music was not that bad. Whaddyathink?

Actually, "I Live My Life For You" was a slightly bigger hit than "Love Of A Lifetime" (of course, I'm sort of comparing apples to oranges, since "I Live My Life For You" charted during the PPW era and "Love Of A Lifetime" was on the chart several years before. What I remember about that song was how amazing it was that the song spent seventeen weeks on the chart despite peaking at number nine. Back then, that was a rare occurrence. "When I Look Into Your Eyes" peaked in the Top Five, but I don't think it spent as long on the chart as "Love Of A Lifetime" did. They had another song in 1991 called "All She Wrote", but that only peaked in the 30s and spent only a handful of weeks on the chart. Don't know. I'd like to hear from them again. The only song by them I didn't like was "All She Wrote".

Firehouse kind of went the way a lot of hairbands went when Grunge Rock tookover. Their music just wasn't "it" anymore.
I still like their music. They're one of those bands like New Kids On The Block that you're afraid to admit in public that you listen to, but when you're all alone, you'll pull out the CD and sing along. ;)

I remember that 'Love Of A Lifetime' song stealing a riff from The Stone Roses. That's about the only blip these guys made on my radar screen.

I wasn't a fan of their power ballads. "Don't Treat Me Bad" remains one of my alltime favorite songs though. Their minor hit "Sleeping With You" was pretty catchy too.

"Don't Treat Me Bad" was a great midtempo hit. Probably my favorite. "Love Of A Lifetime" was very good (and still get some airplay here).
All of their follow-up ballads pretty much are the same song.

I like a couple of songs by them, but I don't consider them one of the better "hair" bands. I might watch them open up for someone, but I wouldn't go to a concert they they headlined.

"Don't Treat Me Bad" was a great midtempo hit. Probably my favorite. "Love Of A Lifetime" was very good (and still get some airplay here). All of their follow-up ballads pretty much are the same song. Really? I thought "When I Look Into Your Eyes" sounded much like "Love Of A Lifetime". It sounded a cross between that and "When I See You Smile" by Bad English. "I Live My Life For You" sounded a lot different than those other two to me. But, as I said, I loved all of their power ballads, plus the mid-tempo "Don't Treat Me Bad". "All She Wrote" just didn't do anything for me (as well as much of the rest of the CHR audience, as the song peaked only at #36). BTW, they did have a follow-up to "I Live My Life For You", called "Here For You", but that was a low peaker too. Not sure it even hit the Top 40 portion of the chart. It was a mid-tempo song like "Don't Treat Me Bad".

My favorites are their first two singles. "All She Wrote" isn't bad either, but I've only heard it a couple of times.
I don't really care for "When I Look Into Your Eyes".

One time I thought they were going to be playing at our college. But when I read the poster closer, it said "Firehose."
