Should've been the 1st single from "AALIYAH" but it's one of my favorite Aaliyah songs. I loved it from the first time I heard her perform it on Regis which spurred me to purchase her album the following day. A lot of ppl consider it too poppy but it's perfect to me. The song peaked at...
#25 (twice due to kinda separate runs on Urban/Rhythmic and CHR-Pop) on the Hot 100. #7 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop #19 on Top 40 (and CHR-Pop) #11 on Hot Dance/Club Play (help from Richie Santana's remixes)

It's pretty good, but she's definitely done better.

It was ok, pretty good, but something about it didn't fully click with me
Overall pretty good, though...I enjoyed it
But I liked We Need a Res and Rock the Boat for longer, and liked them more also...

Decent song and very catchy. Looking back, I should have charted this song sometime, but I never did.

I didn't get the song. Everyone kept saying how good it was but I couldn't like it no matter how many times I listened to it.

Over the years, this has become one of my favorite Aaliyah singles. Timbaland's production is flawless. Kind of a rock-hip-hop-flamenco vibe going on.

Awesome song but not even her best single on that album. I think it should've been the first single. I hate thinking about single order with this album because of the video shoots:-/ I probably would've gone for 1. More than a Woman (insanely catchy, but wears on you quicker than the rest of the album) 2. Loose Rap 3. I Care 4 U 4. We Need A Resolution 5. It's Whatever 6. U Got Nerve I love this album.

Also, if anyone has the Richie Santana remixes, can you please PM me or something? Thanks

It was an enjoyable track. Wasn't this supposed to be the second single from ''Aaliyah'', which was supposed to be released before ''Rock The Boat''?

It was an enjoyable track. Wasn't this supposed to be the second single from ''Aaliyah'', which was supposed to be released before ''Rock The Boat''? Yes. Aaliyah had already shot the video (late July) and began promoting the single on tv (Leno and Regis/Kelly performances) but "Rock The Boat" was receiving a little more play over at Urban radio and Virgin Records pulled it and rushed her off to film the video in the Bahamas. They did get a bigger hit from RTB at the cost of her career/life.

I really like this one. Probably my favorite Aaliyah single. Same here. They played it a lot on KTU back then. It was actually one of the first few songs I charted... *falls into flashback*
