In 1982, Luther Vandross and Marcus Miller put together an updated version of Sam Cooke's "Having A Party". The single went on to become the most successful single from the Forever, For Always, For Love album.
This is one of my favorite Luther Vandross songs. It's his best feel good jam. He really had a way with those medley remakes.

Yes...that Luther mastered those classics and made them his own. Noone can do it better than Luther. You would be completely out of your mind if you didn't listen to this soulful reendition. It's one of his best.

I just made up a Luther mix on my mp3 player the other day... I like this tune, but for some odd reason, I don't ever remember hearing it before.
