for some reason this song just popped back in my head a few weeks ago, and i remember the video, it was excellent! the music for it was also very well played, and it seemed to me like a song that would be a break-up or whatever... but i couldn't get enough of it! If i'm not mistaken, it was nominated for a rap award in 99?

I got this far... Actually, I really loved his song "Guantanemera" (sp. i think) and liked several versions of "Cheated" but could not stand this at all.

I remember never hearing it anywhere so I picked up the single (very expensive though, over $10) but quickly got sick of it. Wasn't there an R. Kelly remix? That one sucked, if thats the one I am thinking of.

I think this is one of the greatest rap songs I've heard all over the years. I really like it

The only time I've ever heard the song was when Rob Thomas of MB20 would stick a bit of it in the middle of their song "Long Day". I listened to the clip just now. Vocal isn't very strong.

the tune went to #7 on the Hot 100 mostly due to a remix of the song feautring Canibus in 1998.
But I like the original version better.

I don't like the original, but I do like the remix. Destiny's Child does backing vocals on it. It was one of their first recordings.

This song failed to make the R&R CHR/Pop chart.

It was okay. BET used to show the video years after it was released on one of its countdown shows (no, not 106). I prefer "We're Trying To Stay Alive" to this.

Wyclef was recently featured on Unsung.

What an earworm of a melody this song's chorus has. I liked it a lot.
