Was listening to this last night. It was my initial favorite on The Morning After, but it definitely grew on me. I think it's got a great laid-back vibe. I wish Deb would've had the chance to release this. I hope she works with JD sometime again in the future.
The Morning After isn't half the album that One Wish was IMO, but it has some great songs including that mentioned above and the title track.

It was decent. The Morning After for me was an album full of above average filler. Thankfully she's a great vocalist. My favorite on the album was definitely "Play Your Part". Too bad it was a total bomb at radio. It's nice how the New York area treats her. Even though she hasn't come close to another "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here" sized hit, KTU still puts all her dance hits into power rotation and Z100 will occassionally pick up on them too.

This is cute. I do agree that this album was mostly just listenable filler, the uptempos in particular are so dated.

I agree with the others about this album. It's good but it feels very generic and could easily blend with the rest of the R&B albums from that era. Her first two albums were much stronger.
Great song, tho.
