This may seem awfully far-fetched (and some of you are way too young to even remember) but this old Marvelettes remake was released during the spring/summer of 1975. It featured this young man who played Michael on Good Times. I remembered him perform this song on Soul Train. I'm not too sure as to how it charted at the time. I'm assuming it fared moderately. Am I like the only person that remembered this song?

It featured this young man who played Michael on Good Times. I knew I recognized the name! :) I don't think I've ever heard the song, but it hit #37 on Billboard's R&B Singles chart and #95 on the Hot 100.

Well after listening to this song for the first time in too long, I then realized that Ralph's only tune also taught him a lesson in the music business. If you're on a hit TV series and trying out as a singer, that's it. Stick to acting. Last we heard from Ralph was on E's True Hollywood Story where he is now a lawyer or something.
