The complete title of it is called Sour And Sweet/Lemon In The Honey by Dr. Buzzard's Original Savanah Band (since the subject line wouldn't let me stretch up the title and the artist). This "bubbled under" (and I do mean WAY under) follow-up to Cherchez Le Femme/Se Si Bon has the same disco-1930s style to it. As usual, I have stumbled a lot of this obscurity that radio in 1976/1977 literally screwed certain songs over. I had a feeling that at age 10 (here I go showing my age again!) we weren't THAT ready to hear this odd type of fusion. But after listening to this for the first time in almost 30 years, I'm starting to like this song again. Believe me, the Cotton Club and Studio 54 would have never been the same.....or the lack of a better term--"never been." Here's the full clip. I figured that there may be a few besides stevie nice that would remember this. s24.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1ZAX6OMJG11C81TF0NWMZE3Y1W

Never heard this before, I like it! Hit #72 on Billboard's Soul Singles chart.
You wouldn't happen to have an mp3 of "Whispering/Cherchez La Femme/Se Si Bon", would you? I've only ever heard that song on one of the old AT40 shows I have on tape (which is terrible quality).

I've looked it up on Real Rhapsody and I believe it's available.

Thank you! That's the song I wanted. :) Heh... Tommy Mottola gets namedropped in the lyrics.

That whole album is fire!!! I have the cd and this is one of my favorites off of it, along with "Sunshower", "I'll Play The Fool"....just the whole damn thing.
