This R&B classic would be too rare to recognize. My older step-sister used to have the 45 of this song (released on the Money label) and wore the hell out of it. It was top 20 R&B and only performed just shy of the top 20 pop (pos. #21). I remember another R&B veteran which I believe was Millie Jackson (b/c I was at her concert about 3 years ago) or Denise LaSalle did some kind of montage back in '94. I didn't hear of this song when I was about 4. But was one of those rare classics.

This was actually #1 for 2 weeks on Billboard's Hot Rhythm & Blues Singles chart in the summer of 1967. LOVE this song! My favorite by her is "I'm Lonely For You" though. She was extremely underrated as a vocalist. Her vocals were never really "big," but she was so soulful.
