SIGH.. he's so dreamy. He gave me his cell # which I was too shy to call! Some person in a R&R Chat tried calling but didn't get through. I guess it must be fate since the #* was meant for me! SIGH...
"This Time Around" was bonafide, pop perfection! With three different singles, each featuring 1 of 3 "Exclusive" Michael Fredo locker posters, the CD single raced up the Singles chart faster than a scooter!
I was tricked into buying his album because Entertainment Weekly gave it a generous "B+." Unfortunately, it was one bad album! Geoguy was also tricked into buying the album, but I guess it was worth it for him since he's a big Nneka Morton fan (a beautiful vocalist featured on one of Fredo's songs).
All and all, Michael Fredo puts Don Philip and his lollipop sucking photos to shame! Go Mike Fredo and 5K (his new band touring with Santana)!
*The cell phone # was in a three or four year old chat transcript I found online.

He's so dreamy? Haha!
I really liked this song, enough to buy the single. Which reminds me, I'd like to hear it again.

Yes yes YES!!! 'D I remember this song being played on pop. He was a model for Timmy Hilfiger or something, right?
I really liked this song when it was out. I want to hear it again! ;)

I believe he was a model for Tommy Hilfiger who was also his UNCLE! "This Time Around" was used for the TV ads too! :) I think Michael Fredo was the first and probably last artist signed to a Tommy Hilfiger record label of some sort.

lol dreamyThis song was anything but forgettable to me. I was hooked on "This Time Around" from the first time I heard it. Then the song was also played at Britney's autograph signing in Union Square, so then I associated the song with Britney, even though I didn't meet her. The video was forgettable, though. Great song. Awful album. $13.99 - what a waste! I even bought the single beforehand! Maybe I can sell the limited edition trading card on Ebay for a few bucks! Only three versions of the trading card were produced.

I LOVE this song.
I never heard this on the radio once, but I became quite familiar with it from the Tommy Hil adds that were on constantly all summer of 1997? or was it 1998?
This is a fun Pop song... not to be taken seriously at all, but to just be enjoyed for its catchiness and simplicity. My friends and I used to sing this at the lunch table in 11th grade LOL.
And also one time at least 3 or 4 years ago when we just felt like being intentionally stupid, my summer friends at the beach and I drove down the strip by the beach with the windows down blasting this song!

I remember Michael Fredo. I thought he would've been able to ride the teen pop wave that was high during the time. He was OK.

This song is pretty good. I like the chorus, and, er.. that's about it actually.
I read that he modelled for Tommy, but isn't his looks a little substandard when compared to a "typical" model? Not being shallow here, by the way. Just stating out one of life's irony :)
