This was the second single from his debut "Musicforthemorningafter", which was a year-end hit on Triple A radio, despite being ignored elsewhere.
My favorite single of Pete Yorn to date ("Crystal Village" is also a favorite from his most ecent release) and an incredibly overlooked one (all his singles have been overlooked).
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

It was actually the third single, with "Life On A Chain" and "For Nancy" preceding it. It's weird because I don't recall seeing "LOAC" on any charts, yet it was played on MTV2 all summer in 2001.
This song was also a minor hit on Alternative, hitting #45.
I think it's OK, but "For Nancy" was way better. I think that's gonna wind up being his best song for me. Coming off of "For Nancy", I guess this was a bit ho-hum to me.

Each single from Yorn's debut is excellent. This is on par with the first two singles. I also like it because the time it was released was the transition from a crappy part of my life to a great part.
LOAC peaked at #43 on alternative, and made the 30s on Billboard's adult top 40 chart. It was probably also a Triple A hit, but I don't recall how it did there.

(And spent an eternity at #2 behind "When You're Falling" by the Afro-Celt Sound System f/ Peter Gabriel right before.) This song is okay for me but I'm not a huge fan. "Life on a Chain," "For Nancy," and "Crystal Village" are much better.

Though I saw the video for "For Nancy (Cos It Already Is), I don't recall it ever charting, except perhaps in the lower echelon of the Triple A chart. My station never even touched "For Nancy". They promoted "Strange Condition" a lot after "Life On A Chain" dominated, and then gave "Lose You" some spins. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

LOL, I thought that "For Nancy" was a top 10 Triple A hit too, but maybe I'm wrong. I do know that it peaked at like #27 on alternative, which is ironic that you say that, since it's the bigggest he's had there.

My Alternative station never even touched "For Nancy", but played "Life On A Chain" like crazy. That was the only Pete Yorn song my Alternative station has ever played. My Triple A station played "Life On A Chain" quite a lot (it was #2 on their year-end chart) and then "Strange Condition" was a strong follow-up, and then played "Lose You" a little bit. Then, when "Day I Forgot" came out, they played "Come Back Home" only a little bit but then was incredibly faithful to "Crystal Village". Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I liked For Nancy better, but this was great too. Hell, everything on that album is great.
Pete Yorn is awesome.
