Remember this US top selling single remix that got UK STEPS fans craving for?
I do! I bought it at The Wherehouse cos it was $1.99 or something. The cover is yellow and has them standing there and there's like flowers or something. I don't remember it all because after I came to my senses and thought they were cheesy and fake, I sold it as a "bonus" with some other cheap CDs I got from BMG 12 For 1 Music club.
I regret it. Yes, STEPS "One For Sorrow" is a good pop song. It was so good, that STEPS was on the Britney Spears tour and became good buddies with her. I bet she still remembers them and meets up with Claire, Faye, and Lisa and shop for bras.
There was a dance! I hope all you US fans remember (I don't, but I have a Mpeg of the Britney tour performance).
EW even covered about STEPS in their pop issue.
I wanted your love, but look what it's done to me...

This remix sucks badly... I much prefer the original version. I wonder why they would not "Tragedy" instead... wait, didn't they try to release this track over here in N. America?

It was just the group of them on the cover.. kind of like a close-up (unlike the full body pose of "One For Sorrow"). The "Tragedy" single was not $1.99 at most places... it was actually hidden.

I think this song is on the Positive Interference Target CD. It's on some compilation that I have in that "CDs to never play again box," along with Michael Fredo "Introducing" and Sammie "From The Bottom To The Top"!
lol Someone in my class started singing "I Like It" yesterday. Sorry, I went off topic.

I don't know which version I heard, but the song was played on U93. The song had a striking resemblence to "Winner Takes It All" by Abba.

Steps are very Abba-esque in my opinion. Very similar sound, not as good songs.
I do like "One For Sorrow". Probably ranks behind "Heartbeat" as my favorite Steps song.

Who was your favorite STEPS? I liked Lee and Claire, but not anymore. They look washed-up now.

The U.S. Remix was produced by Tony Moran. This is one of the few songs by them that I know. I think the Tony Moran remix improved upon the so-so original tremendously. The song had a striking resemblence to "Winner Takes It All" by Abba. YES! One could almost do a mashup with both songs.

I think I saw this as one of those Nickelodeon Video Picks (along with Angela Via-Picture Perfect, Take 5 - Shake It Out, Five - Keep On Movin', and of course the A*Teens).

The song that made me a STEPS fan (the US mix specifically). Makes me so nostalgic.
