I had 13 top 10 hits from the late 80's to the early 90's inlcuding two #1s. You'd think I was the best thing since sliced bread at the time. Even though most will remember me, I've dropped off the face of the earth for the time being, and almost nobody brings up or plays my songs anymore.
It might be fair to call me a teen idol, but I always felt (due to my age) that I was a little more mature than that. Besides, I had a song referring to Nebraska, and that just isn't cool, even though I made it cool.
Who am I?

Richard Marx. The two #1 songs are "Satisfied" and "Right Here Waiting". The song that referred to Nebraska was "Hazard", which is the name of a town in Nebraska.
