#2 (3 weeks) R&B Singles (1965) #5 Hot 100
This was of course remade by Teri DeSario & K.C. (of the Sunshine Band) topping the BB Hot 100. Well, I prefer this version, with her sweet silky innocent vocals before she started making a bunch of answer songs in the 70s and 80s. Does anyone remember her very last single "Another Man" which recieved more attention in the dance clubs than on the radio? Nonetheless, this one's a classic by far.

Great song, I agree this version's better than the 1980 remake.

That song I do remember. Came out about '83 or a little earlier than that. There was also another collaboration that came out about 1977 or 78 called Take Me, I'm Yours in which Barbara teamed up with Michael Henderson (who also does the vocals for Norman Connors' You Are My Starship). But I do remember Barbara's original '65 R&B ballad. It's very smooth. I don't think anyone can top that original.

It's a good song. "Shackin' Up" and "From His Woman To You" are other Barbara Mason classics. I love "Another Man". Great for mix shows.

This is one, where I prefer the remake. I like Barbara Mason's version, but I love the duet of Teri DeSario and KC.

I also love the Teri Desario & KC version - loved watching them perform(lipsync) on American Bandstand! And actually it peaked at #2 on BB not #1 - almost made it there. I've got to stop looking at this nostaglia board, I am pulling out all these great songs and listening to them again - distracting me of what I am supposed to be doing!

Another man was a good song, I have the 12inch vinyl, for those that don't know it, she's talking to a friend about losing her man to another man.
