This song is okay by Josh - much better by Tim!

Looks like "Telluride" peaked at a dismal #34. Where does Lyric Street go from here? Do they release a sixth single from "We Weren't Crazy"? Do they head to the studio to record a new single for a new record?
Or, more importantly, is Josh Gracin in danger of losing his recording contract after selling 78,000 copies of We Weren't Crazy after a year on the market in followup to his Gold-certified self-titled debut.

The way this song fell so flat, so fast after a pretty solid start, I have a feeling that Lyric Street pulled the plug on this (and probably Josh as well). There's no way to know for sure, but it was moving along quite nicely and then the bottom just seemed to fall out of it and it never even hovered like the vast majority of songs that peak in that range do. Honestly I think it's probably time for Josh and LS to part ways, because they really aren't doing anything to help his career. Hopefully he's done enough to warrant another record deal elsewhere, but regardless, his career seems to be going nowhere in Lyric Streets' hands.

please leave Lyric Street! i am so sad this did so poorly. i thought it was gonna be another top 10 for him :(
i think kw9461 is right and LS pulled this so they could drop Josh. i wish they would have let this run its course before they pulled it though

I agree though, it's a real shame that this didn't get a chance to make an impact, I thought it had T10 potential.

Considering his functions for the CRS radio event were scrapped, it doesn't take much to put two and two together. you're probably on to something...

I didn't care for this, but I admit it seemed as though it was headed for a very respectable peak (atleast Top 25) before it just completely flatlined and fell off the chart.
I would assume the above assumptions are correct and the money that would've been used to promote this is going to be spent on Love and Theft, getting Trent Tomlison's single into the Top 20 by his album release and also creating buzz for the new releases from Lyric Street (and Carolwood)'s top artists, Rascal Flatts and SHeDAISY.
Also add in the fact that Bucky Covington is working on new music and Jessica Andrews will probably get another single and there is really no room for Josh (or Sarah Buxton) until after the summer atleast.
It may be time for him to cut ties with LS, I agree.

Ouch! But we all knew this was gonna happen. I hope he finds another label, I liked his last album.

I knew about this in March when the label pulled him from any promo stuff that was originally scheduled. I just wouldn't officially report it until it was confirmed on websites and stuff. He's had some moderate success, I think that it's possible that Broken Bow's new label Stoney Creek Records could take a flier or he'll sign with some other indie label or just go it alone.

HALLELUJAH! Hopefully he can find another label though. Stoney Creek Records would be nice. But as long as he still makes music, I dont care what label he is on. (although it would be nice for him to be on a bigger label so he could get some moderate chart success )
