"Are You That Somebody." The local Rhythmic station plays that song pretty regularly even now. I loved Timbaland's production. Really smooth and sexy. Aaliyah sounded great.

90s Timbaland >>>>>>>>> 2000s Timbaland I agree. Timbaland was at his best in the 90s.

As somebody who loves modern Timbo production as much as his late-'90's stuff, I've gotta go with "AYTS" by far. It's actually the first Aaliyah song I had heard at that point, since I hadn't followed music much before then. Always have loved it.

90s Timbaland >>>>>>>>> 2000s Timbaland I agree. Timbaland was at his best in the 90s. I Agree. Even though I love his stuff with Nelly & Justin.

A-A L I Y A-H
Definitive cut. Not my favorite, but it's surely up there. It's hefty subject matter really make for an intriguing listen. And, as always, Aaliyahs's cool delivery smoothens it all out. Just clever & cool.

Going with "Are You That Somebody." I LOVE Furtado and Loose but many of the songs from the era were essentially updated versions of what Aaliyah was doing in the late '90's and on the Aaliyah album but with her own lyrical twists. The baby noises in "Are You That Somebody" were such a smart production choice.

90s Timbaland >>> 2000s Timbaland Both songs are my jams, but I agree with this. Timbaland was at his best in the 90s. "Are You That Somebody" is a classic.
