All of the songs are sounding similar, lol. I'm afraid the album will sound like one long song in the end.

Especially since she said that that's what she's trying to avoid - an album with similar sounding songs.  I do see where you're coming from though although I think we just haven't heard the other "different" sounding ones like the ones Tedder produced. :) |

OMG I'm very surprised to find out that lots of Kelly's fans are very good in singing!
i heard a lot of covers from male fans but very little from female fans. :/

People have to remember that Kelly's voice is usually not as phenomenal as it was during the 2W2V Tour when she tours alone. The reason is likely that it is more stressful for her voice to sing hard vocal after hard vocal for an hour and some odd minutes. With Reba, many times she would just do background vocals that weren't hard on her voice. Actual Kelly stand alone time was half of what it normally was during her previous tours.
I'm not crazy about the MLWSWY performance but I'm hopeful she will sing it as high as it is recorded. I was very disappointed I never got to hear a performance of BOY like it is in the CD and the video.

I hate the Katy Perry song "I do not hook up"- lyrically, it's interesting, there are some good lines, but i don't think there is a catch, no melody to me at all. I hope Kelly can change it because I'm not hearing a big hit there.

you dont think the hook "oh..noo i do not hook up ..up .. i go slow..." part isnt catchy?
I hear #1 pop hit as soon as the hook hits, plus the lyric is interesting , it'll catch on!

I am listening to the Bahamas show right now...BD was freakin awesome...loved it.
Her vocals are sounding so good. She sounds better live than some artists sound on recordings! How does she sing like that all the time?
It makes me wonder why people say on one hand that they don't like key changes or whatever it is called in some of her live songs....BUT on the other hand say how at times her voice sounds rough or she needs to rest her voice, blah, blah......
It really can't be both ways can it? Her songs sound like they would be vocally challenging, she couldn't sing like that all the time.
Anyway, that girl is a little rocker isn't she??

it looks like her promo tour for US will be around March 9th till early April....should be exciting. I hope she does SNL and Oprah again this time around..

I am sure that iTunes will correct the likely error, but can someone set these version differences straight ? So, please correct me if I am in error, but my understanding is the following: Hard Copy in stores/amazon= 14 tracks Hard Copy Deluxe Version in stores/amazon = 14 tracks + 'Tip of My Tongue' + 'The Day We Fell Apart' + 3 DVD videos (making the album, making the video for 'Life Would Suck, and the actual music video 'Life Would Suck') 'Bonus Version' on iTunes= Hard copy in stores + 'Can We Go Back' 'Deluxe Version' on iTunes= Hard Copy Deluxe version + 'Can We Go Back' (possibly MINUS 'Long Shot' unless that was just an omission error by iTunes, which it probably was) ETA: Deluxe Version (pre-order) is already up to #48 on the Top 100 albums chart on iTunes ! |

I am really excited that this era seems to be reminiscent of the 'Breakaway' era, where there was loads of KCE media to unwrap at the end of each day after a long, hard day at work :) |
