This is Kelly. Her soul is pretty much on the Aranda songs. I really like this album. like, really, really, really, almost as much as MD, and definitely more than BA. One thing I loved about it, is how she went to great lengths to provide a good material.
My Life Would Suck Without You is for those fans of Since You Been Gone, the pop/energetic stuff. Already Gone reminds me a little of the trouble with love is, in the fact that both were rnb. Cry is actually a lot like the ballads of MD. Save You reminded me of Sober, the kind of song you just can't get enough. Long Shot is actually a fresh new thing for Kelly, just like I do Not Hook Up. You can see it's her but yet is a more pop/fun song she has never done before. All I Ever Wanted is basically Kelly herself. It's more punk than pop, tbh. Just like Whyyouwannabringmedown. really loved this cd.

I think this album is basically a summary of the previous albums with a new kind of music, pop/fun. I clearly see similarities to Thankful, BA and MD, but yet it's unique!

The album is great. Every song is a little something different but it is still very cohesive. I feel like this a perfect mix of Thankful, Breakaway, and My December.

I actually think parts of this album are more experimental than other albums she has done. I was definitely surprised by how much variety and different sounds there were as opposed to generic pop songs or Breakaway Part Two with a dash of My December. Agreed. I can't believe people are saying it's very generic. Most of these songs are influenced by what's going on in the indie-rock scene right now. I can't think of any other female pop stars really going with that sound.

Wow, I knew I would love it from the clips, but this is just something else. This is so strong from start to finish. If this isn't a HUGE hit for her, I don't know what will be. "Already Gone" and "Save You" are two of my favorite Kelly songs already. Whyyouwanna... and If I Can't Have You are so different for her, and so GOOD! I am so happy this turned out such a success!

"I Want You" is really cute, it sounds like Duffy did background vocals.

Kelly Clarkson's 'All I Ever Wanted' leaks early. Thanks, Apple?04:16 PM PT, Feb 20 2009 So much for that carefully orchestrated release plan. Kelly Clarkson's "All I Ever Wanted" has hit the Web in advance of its March 10 release date, and the culprit? Apple's iTunes store, according to this report in Rolling Stone. The website for the magazine notes that it was the Norway division of Apple's iTunes music service. An Apple spokesperson has yet to respond, but Rolling Stone provided this screen grab of the Norwegian iTunes store as proof, and reported that the file was encoded via iTunes. Once serviced to retailers, keeping an album under wraps is a near impossibility. While "All I Ever Wanted" is not yet available to preview via any U.S. retailers or officially sanctioned sites, Rolling Stone notes that the Norwegian site was hosting 30-second audio clips when fans realized the album could be purchased. Idolator has already posted a one-listen verdict, noting: "It's a fun collection of pop tracks that's carried in large part by Clarkson's endlessly rootable personality and (slightly sweetened, but still undeniable) pipes." But the RIAA would be pleased to know that download restrictions here at Pop & Hiss HQ prevent the album from being obtained. The leak comes near the end of what has been a drawn-out marketing plan, even by major label standards. Begining in late December, trinkets regarding "All I Ever Wanted" have been gradually making it out to the media. Over the next few weeks, the unveiling of Clarkson's single, title, art and lyrics were all treated as mini events. If the iTunes leak is indeed true, it appears to be the second semi-legit leak of a major album this week. Earlier today, news spread that the leak of U2's "No Line on the Horizon" was the result of the Australian arm of the Universal Music Group. Forbes posted a detailed story, and wondered if the move would ultimately be a "colossal blunder" or a "marketing ploy." The band took advantage of the Web chatter on the album and today made it officially available for streaming via MySpace. Look for Clarkson's "All I Ever Wanted" to appear on some sort of official channel soon. -- Todd Martens latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2009/02/kelly-clarkson.html

Kelly Clarkson's All I Ever Wanted Album LeaksEntire album hits the Internet weeks before its March 10 drop date. By MTV News Staff Just weeks before its official March 10 release date, Kelly Clarkson's All I Ever Wanted was accidentally leaked onto the Internet by the Norwegian division of Apple's iTunes music service, according to RollingStone.com. The site began streaming 30-second clips of each song on All I Ever Wanted on Friday, as it often does with pre-purchase previews. But fans soon realized that, due to an iTunes error, they could purchase the entire album. The album soon spread over the Internet. According to Idolator.com, songs include "Long Shot," "I Do Not Hook Up" (co-written by "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi), "Save You," (a collaboration with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder) and "Whyyawannabringmedown," and three tracks co-written by former Color Me Badd member Sam Watters, which include "Why" and "I Want You." The album also includes "My Life Would Suck Without You," of which writer/ producer Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald) told EW.com late last year, "After 'Since U Been Gone,' we wrote all these songs for Kelly. This one, which I think is the first single — we had the chorus a while ago and added the verse more recently." Luke said that Clarkson has emerged from the funk over December thanks to her new manager, the husband of new BFF Reba McEntire, and she had total confidence in the studio during the sessions for the new album. "It's sick. She sings a song in two hours and kills it," he said. "You're just like, 'Holy sh--.' She has powerful lungs. She's like the Lance Armstrong of vocal cords." In late October, Clarkson blogged that she had finished the album and was very excited about it. www.mtv.com/news/articles/1605544/20090220/clarkson_kelly.jhtml

The album is definitely a grower. Already Gone is a Ryan Tedder track, right?

I really like the album. I don't think it is better than Breakaway though, but it is v.very good. You sure can hear Kelly's beautiful tone on many of the songs.
My favorite is Already Gone.
I don't think it is good news for Kelly that it leaked so early. I bet there are a bunch of pissed off people at RCA right now....and I bet Kelly is fuming. I do wonder if they will move up the release date.

Oh god do people really like IDHU? That song is HORRIBLE. The absoutely worst on the album... I really think Long Shot should have been the single... that or Don't Let Me Stop You.
Anyone else think Already Gone sounds more like "Say (All I Need)" than Halo... I found myself singing the chorus to that song during Kelly's song. Anyway, after relistening to the songs this is my ranking:
1) Already Gone: Best song by a long shot... her vocals are so ethereal. Definitely one of Ryan's best productions. This is up there with my favorite Kelly song, BTHE. 2) Cry: Oh god her vocals on this are astounding... this or AG should be the third single. 3) Long Shot: This hasn't gotten much love so far, but besides MLWSWY this is the next catchiest song on the album, making it easily 2nd single material. 4) MLWYSY: Instantly catchy... would be higher if I hadn't overplayed it already. 5) Save You: Very pretty song 6) Impossible: Also a very Ryan sounding song... very ethereal. Not as catchy as AG, but still great. 7) If I can't Have you: Very in your face, and sounds better with every listen. 8) Ready: Is this what country Kelly would sound like? If this the direction she'd go with it, I'm down. 9) Don't let Me Stop You: One of the catchier songs, but hte chorus doesn't click as much with me as Long Shot or Life Would Suck 10) Whyyawaannabringmedown: Great song, I wonder how this would sound live.
The rest of the songs I don't really like that much... 11) If No One WIll Listen: Kind of a cheesy ballad... melody sucks. 12) I Want You: Repetitive and annoying, ugh. 13) All I Ever Wanted: Reminds me of My December and not in a good way. Nothing about this song sticks with you, not very easy on the ears. 14) I Do Not Hook Up: Really really bad... I haven't heard Katy's, but I can't even imagine what her version sounds like if Kelly's is this bad.
For some reason I didn't get the other song on my CD....

Love Don't Let Me Stop You Long Shot Already Gone (although I wish it didn't sound so much like Halo in the beginning) Like a Lot Cry I Don't Hook Up If No One Will Listen Okay Impossible Save You MLWSWY Ready If I Can't Have You Meh All I Ever Wanted I Want You Whyyawannabringmedown I don't think the singles are as strong as on the ones on Breakaway, but the album as a whole is better.
