Not a single in the USA, but MTV played the video a lot.
From the Vision Quest Sdtk...

Yes MTV did. When I arrived in England, my peers were spinning this constantly on the jukebox at the AYA (American Youth Activities) during the school lunch hour. I never cared for that song.

Not one of the best, but it's fun. Good performance on Virgin Tour, too. Best line: "You're just jealous cause you can't be me..." That's right, BABY. RE MTV- it only appeared on the playlist that appeared in Billboard for a week or two. I didn't have MTV at the time, so can't comment on how much it was played.

This is one of her few 80s songs I don't like.

^Really? ya like it that much? :)
I like the rock edge to it, especially in a live setting. This and "Burning Up" were her most "rock"-sounding tracks in the early days (not counting those Pre-Madonna tracks and such).

There was talk in late 1985 of this being the official follow-up to "Dress You Up" - MTV actually started to play the Virgin tour version at this time - a full 4 months after dropping the Vision Quest version. I guess it didn't pan out or they wanted to fuel pent up demand for Live to Tell in the spring.
HolidayGuy - MTV played the first version a lot in the early summer of 1985 - and it got repeated airings on Friday Night Videos (NBC's very popular video show)

Fun tune. Always thought this would have been a good single choice

One of her most underrated ones. It would be cool if she sang this live again.

This is one of my favorites from the 80s. It's so underrated. I like the light SAW meets Bobby Orlando-ish Hi Nrg sound of it.

It's hard to go wrong with 80's Madonna. Even her throwaway singles were killer, catchy and melodic. Love this, especially the bridge.
