Well, that is not looking too good. Hopefully it's just a fluke and not the beginning of the end. :(

Well a #3 peak certainly wouldn't be bad. Although that means IDNHU could struggle to go top 10.

Although that means IDNHU could struggle to go top 10. That's exactly what I'm thinking as this is much catchier than I Do Not Hook Up.

I bet this picks up again, especially after GMA and Idol. I also think IDNHU will be even bigger that this one, because imo it's catchier.

I think this single has done more than enough already. How many songs go Top 3 without any televised promo? All she did was radio. I think this week of promo is coming at a great time. It should give a huge boost to the song. I mean, American Idol will is the biggest promo she could get at this point. We'll see what happens.

I think #3 is a really great peak, with that being said I would be disappointed if it began to descend already. It would be one of those fast rise, with an even faster fall situations and I want this song to have longevity (which IMO is more important than its peak). But this has done a great job so far, especially considering she has done zero promo. Hopefully her upcoming appearances kicks things up a notch before Right Round takes over.

I'd love for this to hold off Flo Rida. If only she could sneak a week in. If both Circus and WMNZR did, I'm sure this has a chance to. Good point. I hope it can make it. :)

MLWSWY is by far the catchiest uptempo on the album, imo. If anything from the album is a bigger hit than this it will be one of the ballads.

Didn't someone post awhile back that IDNHU goes for adds around the beginning of April? If so, the run of MLWS only has about three or four weeks left anyway. It went to #19 on Jan. 26th and only made it to #3 yesterday. Does 19 to 3 in six weeks qualify as a fast rise? I genuinely don't know the answer, but am pretty darned sure MLWS will still be in the top 10–15 when IDNHU goes for adds. Anyway, if big-time TV promo does translate into more radio airplay, MLWS hasn't peaked yet. But even if it has, I'm already extremely happy with everything this song has done to tee up for the release of AIEW.

It may have slowed down a bit once it hit top 10 but it exploded out of the gate.

Worrisome! Just listened to IDNHU and honestly I was underwhelmed. DLMSY and Cry, on the other hand, hit home runs in my opinion

I personally think it has done its job as a lead single. Top 3 peak, hit over 8000 spins, hit her target audience, had good digital sales, and peaked at #1 on the Hot 100. It is almost sure to give her her biggest debut yet as well albums wise. Bring on single #2! (Well, I am sure it will gain for another few weeks, but after that bring on single #2!)

I totally agree that this single has done it's job, and I hope you're right about it helping to give Kelly her biggest album debut yet. We'll know in a few days, once HDD publishes it's first-day info.

I think peaking in the Top 3 is pretty impressive. I just hope IDNHU becomes another hit for her.

Top 3 is amazing IMO, especially after not even getting a top 20 last time around.

Breakaway: Third Best Pop Album of the Decade I'm Not Dead: Second Best Pop Album of the Decade Robyn: Best Pop Album of the Decade. Ok, I must confess that I can't really argue (at least not honestly) with you re: #1 since I'm by no means a Robyn connoisseur, but I don't have a big problem with #2. It's all in the family, eh? Anyway, as for Breakaway, I have this friend who's like totally and completely a metalhead (well, he does occasionally enjoy some U2 and some old Peter Gabriel, but I digress), so anyway, his sister gave him Breakaway as kind of a "gag" birthday gift a couple of years ago. And the hilarious thing is that he later confessed to me that the album totally rocked! Of course, he made me promise never to tell. And I obeyed...until now, that is. Heh, heh. Oh, the power of Kelly Clarkson!
