That playlist alone just signifies an era of transition from the underground whilst in the midst of the hard grunge and alternative music from that era. I mean, a song like What's Up? on this playlist seems very astonishing to me as it fits well being played after Blind Melon but contrasts with acts like The The & Sugar being played.

Hell yeah, "Detachable Penis"! And amazingly, the video was played on MTV (THE MTV) and had no audio censorship whatsoever, and they even wrote the title up there properly. Of course, that's only one aspect of MTV that has since gone horrifyingly wrong somewhere along the way.
