Great choice. I'm glad it's not The World We Live In.

This is a really beautiful song. Good choice. "The World We Live In" is still the next single in the UK.

Wow, I'm very surprised, never thought they'd release this. Joy Ride is much more radio friendly, imo, don't know how this will do.

I would have rather seen "Losing Touch" get released

Great choice. I'm glad it's not The World We Live In. On the other hand, I love "World" and am not especially happy about this being the third single. I was either wanting that one or "Losing Touch" next. I don't know if I'll put it on my personal chart. It's no "Spaceman" or even "Human" if you ask me.

I was in the "Joy Ride" camp. That was my fave on the album at first, though now it's second to "Spaceman." To be honest, this is probably near the bottom for me in terms of Day & Age tracks. I do like it okay but it's not that special for me.

this is okay, but I'm biased because as you can see from below I really want them to send "This Is Your Life".

^Great song, but the fact that it has no chorus would make it a risky single choice, imo.

^Great song, but the fact that it has no chorus would make it a risky single choice, imo. I don't honestly think it suffers though, but it would be interesting to see how "radio listeners" would handle it. Its still completely infectious from the opening right to the end.

Didn't seem to make much of an impression on me initially, as I ranked it 7th on the album last year.
I can't say I'm surprised by this, because my Alt HD station has been playing this frequently. (I only know from the ID tag on the screen. The cruel irony is the HD station I wanted most has next to the worst reception of all the ones I'm interested in.)

Very poor choice, this will do worse than Bones.

I haven't heard "Day & Age" since around the time it came out, so I can't remember a thing of what this song sounds like. I suppose I'll have to bring it with me to listen to at work tomorrow.

Now that I've re-listened to the album once again, I think that either this or "The World We Live In" were the best remaining choices for singles.

I don't know how this will do. It's a great song, its their 2nd best album after Hot fuss.

Yesterday, it reached top 50 on Mediabase Alternative. Here's today's update:
78 49 KILLERS A Dustland Fairytale 153 60 93 0.446
27 stations playing.

This is their best single since "Read My Mind", which is quite the compliment given I've enjoyed every Killers single between those two, and really loved "Spaceman".
That said, this single is not going to chart well here. It sounds more like a surefire Triple A hit than something that would resonate at Alternative. I predict a peak between that of "Bones" and "For Reasons Unknown".
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Personally, this song is very average to me. I never really liked Spaceman all that much. But if they would ever release "This Is Your Life" I think that song is the ultimate multi-format hit could release from this album. Again, its a personal sentiment.

That letterman performance was amazing. Love the orchestra.
I think this could do well on CHR if they promote it right.

I'm really sad to see this song not doing well. I thought this would blow Spaceman out of the water.
