No this: 467 115 TAYLOR SWIFT You Belong With Me Big Machine 42 2 40 0.151 Is from the mediabase POP thread. It's up a couple from this one. I'm wondering where she got 40 spins in one day from that's all. I get that she's so high on the overall chart because she's doing so well on country it's just that this hasn't even been released to pop and it got what's highlighted above. Songs get spins before their adds date all the time. 40 spins isn't that much really lol. And I loved the video!!! Simple but fun.... fits the song extremely well. :)

Great video! I didn't even know she was the brunette until I saw someone post it. Damn she should consider dying her hair like that. She looked so hot! :o

This song sounds so incredibly creepy and obsessively stalker-ish.

This song sounds so incredibly creepy and obsessively stalker-ish. This song isn't creepy or stalkerish in any way. A stalker prowls around someone with unlawful intentions. This song was obviously (as proved in the video) written from a close friendship perspective. Millions upon millions of people have been in situations where they were in love/really liked a close friend (or friend in general) and thought they would be better for that person than the person they were with. These are natural occurences, especially in younger people. It only crosses the stalkerish line when the person with the crush follows around that crush obsessively without them knowing.

I have no idea how this song is creepy or stalker-ish ??? It's obvious from the video and also the song that she likes a close friend, but he's dating someone who she feels knows him less than she does.

A stalker prowls around someone with unlawful intentions. Not really. They don't have to have "unlawful intentions". It's anyone who follows someone around and the person doesn't wish to be followed by them. They don't have to necessairly be meaning to cause "harm" to said person. And there has never been a case where a close friend has crossed that oh so fine line. Right? :o Which is fine. But that still doesn't stop this song from sounding creepish and over obsessive. I got the obsessive stalkery vibe in these lines. I'm in the room, its a typical Tuesday night I'm listening to the kind of music she doesnt likeAnd she'll never know your story like I doIf you could see that I'm the one who understands youI think I know where you belong. I think I know it's with me. Standing by or waiting at your back door

So by listening to the type of music his girlfriend doesn't, DEFINITE STALKER MATERIAL. And I don't think it's bad for her to say she knows him better than the girlfriend does, especially if they're friends. And the back door thing, I don't take it too literally.

So her sitting in her room listening to music and thinking she understands someone is obsessive, scary, and stalkerish? Every teenage girl and guy that has ever existed is a creepy obsessive stalker then.

It's the whole "like I do" that I find kind of troubling. That is something that I feel a lot of people who have experienced unrequited love say. They will never love you like I do.
She doesnt get your humour like I do And she'll never know your story like I do If you could see that I'm the one who understands you this is how it ought to be since she brought you down Dreaming bout the day when you'll wake up If you could see that I'm the one who understands you Standin by, waiting at your back door I know it's with me. You belong with me Standing by or waiting at your back door

Not really. They don't have to have "unlawful intentions". No, they don't have to, but the majority of the time, they do. And where in this song does it indicate that she is following him? The lyrics of the song show that the two people are friends (friends that hangout together). Hanging out with someone isn't the same thing as following them. Sure, but this isn't one of them. :o She's obviously talking about her room, at least that's how I understood it. You have to be a stalker to know what type of music someone likes? Perhaps because they've been best friends for years, and she does infact probably know him better than she does? Clearly the boy has a rocky relationship with his girlfriend because she doesn't understand or "get" all of his eccentricities, but she does (because they've been friends for so long). It's callad a figure of speech. She's not literally waiting at his back door, it just means she has always been there for him. Perhaps waiting for him if he ever needs her? Otherwise known as being there for someone. Me thinks your looking for something that clearly isn't there. No one else seems to be seeing it.

She's obviously talking about her room, at least that's how I understood it. I thought it was his room. Hence the music his girlfriend doesn't like. Where does it say that they have been friends for years? I don't get that feeling. I always get the feeling that this is the unpopular girl from school who likes this boy that she has hung out with. But I never get the Dawson/Joey vibe from them. I thought she was. I don't care if other people see it. I am just noting what I see.

I don't get a stalker vibe at all from this. In fact I remember being in a very similar situation with a girl when I was younger. It wasn't stalkerish at all. Video was great!

seriously, are you on something? lol, that's like, the most bizarre thing I've read about a song. It's good if you want to criticize something you don't like, but finding reasonable complaints is not that hard, especially considering this song is full of it.

her peaks are all based on the first week the songs were released in this cd, hopefully this song can help boost up sales so it can reach a nice 4kk.

that's like, the most bizarre thing I've read about a song. Well Taylor Swfit's song-writing material always comes off as being a girl with overwhelmingly special needs, so it's not hard to find things in her material that I think are mentally "off" with her. I don't really mind the song. I don't care for it. But I don't hate it. I just think it sounds odd and off and kind of like the unpopular girl at school mooning over the high school jock that refuses to date her. Hence her anger at the popular girl that dates him, and yes I could totally visualize TS breaking into the guys house to listen to his music and sniff his underwear.

Where does it say that they have been friends for years? The lyrics "what your looking for has been here the whole time" and "been here all along" along with others suggest they have had a long friendship.

I thought it meant the "love you have been looking for this whole time has been here (with me) all along".
