Christina Milian, singer, actress and current social media correspondent for NBC’s smash hit The Voice has proven that the road to your dreams can be bigger than what you imagine.

The triple threat gives us more reasons to pay attention to her journey than the destination. On the road to stardom, Milian has found success with her music, films and mommy hood. What’s the best way to hop on the path to your dreams? Milian says the method is to be your own cheerleader.

“Through the ups and downs you always have to believe in yourself,” she says. “If you believe in yourself, stick in there and I believe it can happen when you find your true self.”

The resilient singer has juggled with singing and acting ever since she was a kid. After joining the Disney Channel’s Movie Surfers series as a teen, the talented Disney kid starred in Disney films and popular TV shows like Sister, Sister. She also signed to Def Jam in 2001 and released her debut album Christina Milian at the age of 20.

Four years later, Milian returned once again to the music scene with a more grown up image for her sophomore album, It’s About Time. The album spawned her biggest hit to date, “Dip It Low” featuring Fabolous. The singer took a hands-on approach this time around and was able to write and sing about issues close to her heart like family turmoil and her love life. In the years that followed, Milian starred in the hit film Love Don’t Cost a Thing, released her third album So Amazin and helped put together a little old song by Justin Bieber titled “Baby” with her ex, The Dream.

While the world had seen the singer as a sweet pop tart, Milian went through a lot of mistakes that helped to build her confidence.

“I can say that I have fallen for that, slightly, but sometimes I did enjoy it,” she said. “I’m an actress, too, so when I live something, I’m going to live it all the way. So I can’t say that someone pushed me in a direction that I didn’t want to go because at the end of the day, I had to do it, I had to sing it, I had to be it in the music videos, all that stuff. It’s just that … there’s a sense of confidence that I didn’t have back then that I have now. It was giggly, fun and happy, but now I’m … I don’t know, I’ve changed a bit.”

Much of that change includes her recent signing to Lil Wayne’s Young Money click and putting the finishing touches on her upcoming album. Fans can expect to see more of the singer during her E! reality show. The show will focus on her and her family and hopefully some cool Young Money cameos!

While we wait to see Milian’s return to music, the working mom has kept herself busy with travel blogs and charities.

Her latest endeavor, The Hope For The Holidays program helps families in New Orleans rebuild their homes destroyed during Hurricane Katrina. The campaign has risen close to half of their $50,000 goal. Learn more about it here.

With her path to discovering her dreams, Christina believes that her experiences have helped her grow.

“This definitely feels like a new phase in my life,” said about her recent journey. “ I have way more experience to [draw] off of in my personal life as well as in business. And I do feel, with now becoming a mother, being married and having many relationships, failures and successes, it all makes me the person that I am today.”

Yes and it's since been confirmed that it will precede the album. I doubt she will put out an actual album this year but we'll see.

PAULY D: The next one I’m really excited about, it’s with Christina Milian and Big Sean. It’s called "Clothes Off" and it’s gonna drop real soon. If I don’t drop it at the end of this month, it will be in the beginning of next month, so I’m excited.

I'd love to work with Nicki Minaj — that would be dope. She's really killing it right now. I think everybody knows I've worked with Christina Milian a bit. We did a record. I think that surprised a lot of people. She's cool and we've remained friends after that.

The Dream & Nivea throwing all sorts of shade.

The-Dream, Milan's ex-husband, definitely thinks the situation is strange. He implied that Milian messed up the rotation by dating her ex-husband's ex-wife's child's father. "I think that's what everybody was thinking when the news broke. Everybody was thinking of that but supposedly Christina," he said. "She wasn't thinking of that at all. I have no idea how she could not be thinking of that."

Nivea posted a clip of Dream's comments on her Instagram account with the caption, "Hmmm..drops mic. She's A #scarecrow!" Nivea and Dream have three children together in addition to her son with Wayne. The Radio Killah married Milian a year or so after his divorce from Nivea.

“Christina Milian Turned Up” will debut in early 2015

E! has ordered a new docuseries starring singer Christina Milian with “Frasier” actor Kelsey Grammer serving as an executive producer.

Currently under the working title “Christina Milian Turned Up,” the series is set to premiere in early 2015.

“We simply adore Christina,” said Jeff Olde, E!'s programming and development executive vice president, in a statement. “She's young, vibrant and a highly accomplished artist who has a hectic life balancing the glitz and glamour of celebrity, and the rough and tumble world of hip-hop, with the more relatable moments of being a mom, newly back on the dating scene, and trying to make things better for her family.”

The series will follow Milian as she tries to rebrand herself and take her career to a new level. She will be joined on the show by her mother Carmen, and two sisters Danielle and Liz.

Christina Milian – Christina is a Grammy-nominated powerhouse whose impressive resume includes film, television, theater and music. A mother to daughter Violet, Christina is constantly torn between spending time with her family and staging her musical comeback. Christina is the owner of Viva Diva Wines, creator of an animation project called Shelby Star and a motivational speaker with a strong passion to inspire women.

Carmen Milian – Carmen is Christina's mother, manager and consultant who has represented her daughter's s entire music and film career since she was a child. A successful entrepreneur, motivational speaker and a business partner with Christina on multiple businesses including Shelby Star and Viva Diva Wines.

Danielle Milian – Danielle is the middle sister and is constantly the voice of reason among her sisters. As a former child actor and model, she is now married with 2 children and works as a celebrity hair stylist to her A-List clientele and her sister Christina.

Christina Milian, 32, released her first album at age 19. She followed that with two more albums in 2004 — which had her first major U.S. hit, “Dip It Low” — and in 2006.

This past Friday, CupidsPulse.com had the chance to chat with singer and actress Christina Milian about the exciting projects that she’s been feverishly working on. With her recent venture as co-owner of Viva Diva Wines, a new television show called Christina Milian Turned Up on E!, and an upcoming album, the single mom is certainly staying busy! Of course, that’s exactly how she wants it to be. “I was born to be focused and to have something to live for, and all of this stuff just excites me. I want to empower a lot of women as well,” she reveals.

The talented entrepreneur is particularly proud of her new line of wines. “A Viva Diva is a confident woman who loves to live the life,” she says of the ladies who enjoy her wine. “I think we sometimes take things too seriously. Sometimes, you need to shout, dance, and scream out loud! You can be serious all day, or be a confident woman and just go have fun.”

If pressed to pick a favorite wine, Milian names the pineapple and coconut flavor from the Moscato line. The peach and mango flavors make it very hard to choose though. “I really like all the flavors. Take ‘em all, guys!” she says with a laugh.

Longtime fans are excited to get a better glimpse at her day-to-day life with her new reality show, set to premiere in 2015. When asked if viewers are going to be able to get a peek at her love life, she confesses, “Right now, I’m just really focused on my music. I think that’s the focus of everything. And when love comes along, it will strike, and we will see if the cameras are there!” She also hinted that she would love to have Nicki Minaj and Drake on her upcoming album, which she describes as “a little mix of fun club bangers, a couple of ballads, R&B, and pop.”

In an effort to dig just a little bit further into the mystery that is her current dating status, we asked the star what the inspiration was for her upcoming album. “It’s really about living in the moment. I’m just writing based off of my experiences — whether it be a breakup, makeup, love, or Cupid literally hitting you in the heart, you know what I mean?”
