Well I was in a live video chat with Teairra today, and it turns out that the rumours are not only true, but a lot worse than anybody originally throught. Now this is a really long and complicated story so ya'll will need to read carefully and keep up.

After Christina Milian was dropped from Def Jam in 2006 after her third album "So Amazin'" bombed in the charts, the singer inked a new deal with MySpace Records. According to Teairra "nobody wanted to f*** with Christina" after her Def Jam departure, but MySpace went out on a limb and started investing a lot of time and money into her "Dream In Color" project. Unfortunately for them though Christina met producer The-Dream, and shortly after recording together the two formed a romantic relationship and Christina high tailed it out of MySpace with barely a words notice, instead choosing to sign with The-Dreams Radio Killa Records.

MySpace were understandably a little upset after taking a chance on the "Dip It Low" diva when nobody else would, but since Christina didn't pay for or own any of her recordings so the label kept the tracks to give to other artists. Luckily for Teairra who was friends with the person who had helped get Christina signed, they sent her over "Diamonds" and she loved it, immediatly recording her own version for her sophomore album "At That Point". A little while later the song leaked online and received fantastic feedback, so Teairra and her label decided to go with it as the follow-up single to "Cause A Scene" featuring Flo-Rida. Well

Well Christina wasn't happy when she heard about it, and started kicking up a fuss behind the scenes to get Teairra to drop the song, even though Christina herself didn't own the track and had never paid for it in the first place. Kanye West (who is close friends with both The-Dream and Christina Milian) then got back to Teairra and tried to charge her 200k to shoot the video. Teairra said she couldn't afford 200k for his appearance fee, and according to her, Christina Milian used her relationship with The-Dream to convince Kanye to put the price up on the video so she wouldn't be able to afford it and release it. Shortly after the drama went down Christina's own version of "Diamonds" conveniently leaked online.

Teairra also added that she understood that Kanye's price would be high because of who he is, but that she half expected him to cut her some slack since the two had been "cool with each other" when she was signed to Def Jam, and that herself being a struggling artist thought that Kanye would've helped her out since he was once in the same position, rather then letting somebody else influence his decision. She also implied that Kanye had never treated her the same since she was dropped from Def Jam.

Christina Milian and Teairra Mari have beef? LOL... is that what is has come down too? The battle of the Def Jam has beens? I had no clue that they were fighting over the song. All the reports I read said that Christina gave it to Teairra. Christina herself said that she is still with MySpace Records and she is still on their page, which they updated recently. Plus, if she just abandoned her contract there would be some legal issues to take care of. Unless she bought herself out of it and I don't see that happening. We would've heard about it.

Not defending Christina if this is true, but why would she be upset about Teairra getting the song? Christina wrote it. She wasn't planning on using it anymore I don't exactly see her getting upset about an artist taking a song and making it a single. She'd get paid for it. Maybe the whole issue was actually just Kanye not wanting to be on it? If that's the case, your relationship with Kanye hasn't been the same since you've been dropped. Who told you that just randomly putting him on a song he didn't agree to do with you would change that?

Maybe Teairra should start dating Tricky.

Teiarra did make some points though, and Necole Bitchie and other blogs called Christina's camp catty for sending out a who sung it better with christina's version to all the blogs...when more people on blogs we're saying Teairra's version was better the whole chance of her keeping the song seemed to change. I'm a fan of both as you see from my post but still it's kind of dirty if true. Watching Teairra's live streams, she always seems very honest with everyone on everything so i see no reason for her to lie

I had no idea he put it on his site. So, then he did officially agree to be on Teairra's version. I feel that if he agreed to be on the song he wouldn't mind doing her the favor of being in her video as well. As arrogant as Kanye is, he doesn't exactly seem like the type of person that was raise his price because The Dream and Christina asked him too. Then again maybe I'm just giving him too much credit, LOL.

I just can't help but shake the feeling that there is more to the story than what Teairra stated. I guess we'll never know unless Kanye or Christina feel the need to comment.

Lolene told members of boards that Christina did not write the song at all, she just wanted wanted some of the publishing. She said Makeba wrote Us Against The World as well and that Christina wanted publishing credits on that too.

The Dream and Christina Milian Confirm Engagement

After weeks of denial, Christina Milian and The Dream are finally going public with their engagement. Milian, who was seen sporting a sparkling gem on her left ring finger three months ago, and producer/singer-songwriter The Dream confirmed their upcoming nuptials with Sister 2 Sister magazine and disclosed plans to have their engagement party in the Bahamas.

"Keyshia [Cole] told us backstage that she wanted to give The Dream and Christina a shout-out during her performance, but she wanted to let them say it first. Well they've said it, so its official," S2S Magazine reported.

In related headlines, Milian is scheduled to release her new album, tentatively titled 'Elope,' later this year. The Dream and Milian are said to be working on 'Elope' together

She would still get paid regardless. Are you sure? The lyrics are so corny and right up Christina's alley, LOL. (On both tracks.)

Don't people tend to agree to something like this when it's a big name artist? I guess it depends on how they decided to split it, but still. If it isn't Beyonce I'm not sharing.

And I'm late as hell but I side with Christina on the "Diamonds" controversy. Teairra Marie seems sneaky so I wouldn't be suprised if she's stirring this up just to make Christina look bad and I remember an interview Rihanna did around the time GGGB came out and she said something to the effect of Teairra getting what she deserved because of the way she acted to the people around her and treated people.

Christina's version is better anyway.

I don't think that'll be necessary. She may not open her mouth often but her overabundant presence at any given red carpet spectacle should prove more than sufficient. Or at least help her retain the slightest relevancy.
